In his first game of the season, CB Troy Hill played 35 snaps at cornerback (43%). Also played 17 special teams plays (50%). @thrilll_32

The Rams played 21 players defensively last night. Ethan Westbrooks only played 13 snaps. Tanzel Smart played 23 and Morgan Fox played 16.

Tavon Austin increased his playtime to 15 snaps last night. Had 7 and 9, respectively, the first two games. @CVRamsClub

Rookie Austin Blythe played 36 snaps after starting center John Sullivan was injured after playing 31.

McVay said he was very pleased with C Austin Blythe’s play last night in a crunch. Says he earned a game ball.

Once again the Rams had significantly less offensive snaps (67) than defensive (82). Last week was 50-71. Week 1 was 65-50 Rams. @CVRamsClub

Michael Brockers led the Rams with 2 of the Rams’ 6 TFLs. Aaron Donald had 2 of the Rams’ 7 QB hits. Nickell Robey had 2 of the Rams’ 5 PDs.

Alec Ogletree led the Rams with 9 tackles. Connor Barwin, Aaron Donald, Matt Longacre, Morgan Fox had the team’s four sacks. @CVRamsClub

Trying to remember what it felt like last year, when the Rams started 3-1. Is the level of optimism really different?

Not saying things will spiral like they did last year. Clearly, the way they’re doing it is more sustainable.

Aaron Donald on Thursday: 68 snaps, 20 more than he played four days earlier. Gah.

Like, how many of these NFL evaluators would choose Scott Tolzien over Colin Kaepernick right now? Just sayin.

You think folks in Buffalo were scratching their heads as Robert Woods and Sammy Watkins tore it up for the Rams?
