    One step closer to the NFL season as Eric Davis and Travis Rodgers host the Rams Training Camp Special, live from UC Irvine. They welcome Rams GM Les Snead who chats with them about the upcoming season. LA Rams reporter Dani Klupenger also stops by to give Eric and Travis the latest on the Rams. Former USC Trojan and newest Ram receiver Robert Woods joins the guys after practiced ends.

    Eric Davis and Travis Rodgers host the Rams Training Camp Special

    They go on about Donald until about 10:42 in, and then Snead joins them at 11:00 in.

    So these guys start off talking about Donald, and IMO, they don’t understand that situation at all. They’re doing the “Rams don’t have to pay him, Rams have the leverage” routine, which is just way wide of the mark.

    This is NOT a situation where Donald is demanding something from the team.

    It’s completely mutual. The Rams want an extension as much as Donald does.

    I didn’t see yours, but it makes me no difference who post gets used. I figured it was just Davis being Davis. I don’t pay attention to his stuff.

    Day 2 of the Rams Training Camp Special rolls on as Eric Davis and Travis Rodgers are joined by Kirk Morrison. Eric and Kirk discuss veteran leadership from their playing days and say Ram vets need to show the same leadership. Rams Vice President of Football Operations and COO, Kevin Demoff joins the guys to discuss the second season back in LA. Free agency pick up and former Trojan, corner Nickell Robey joins the guys fresh out of practice. ESPN Rams Reporter Alden Gonzalez stops by to give the guys his thoughts after two days of camp.

    Demoff starts at 12:15 in. Nickell Robey starts at 24:40 in. Gonzalez starts at 36:04 in.

    When Davis and others talk about Donald and the Salary Cap, it is obvious that they don’t really understand the subject. The reason is the Salary Cap is going to increase at least for the next 3 or 4 years. It is $167M now. In 2021 it will be $200M+. Like Demoff says, they just have to do some “dancing” to get past this year and next. They can do that. imo

    Yeah I agree with all of that.

    The LA print reporters have a much better grasp of that whole situation than these guys do.
