Really interesting Sci-Fi anthology series. Kind of an update on the Twilight Zone, but with better production values, and much more focused on technology. I’ve seen just a few episodes so far and like all of them. No clunkers. But there is a range. From solidly clever to actually quite brilliant.

My first episode was Season Two’s “Be Right Back.” Really good. Makes you think. A lot. But I agree with one critic who suggests starting the anthology with Season One’s “The Entire History of You.” Its premise is remarkable. People have a chip implanted and record everything they see. They have audio/visual records of all of their encounters, and can play them back in their own heads or project them on the screen for others to watch too. The story takes some dark, interpersonal twists and turns well worth the viewing.

But my favorite episode of all is “San Junipero.” From Season Three.

I watched both seasons last year. And I saw season three is out. I will watch it as soon as my plate clears (i.e. between xmas and new year).

“The Entire History of You” fits very well with a unit I used to teach on the novel, “Feed,” and I wanted to show it, but there is too much sex. It is a great episode, though.

I started at the beginning. Season one, episode one. And knew I was onto a brilliant show that I could never share with my wife. That first episode…Prime Minister…pig…well, wow.

    Great show.

I like the series very much. There are a few duds in there but overall it’s an interesting premise. I’m two shows in to season 3. The first episode, “Nosedive” holds a perfect “mirror” up to where we are and where we’re going. With everything requiring “likes” or “ratings” it feels like society itself is being transformed.

And not in a good way.

“Playtest” was very creepy. How far should we take realistic gaming? At some point isn’t it almost like taking an hallucinatory drug?

    Looking forward to the others.

Yeah, we’ve watched the first season and part of the second and really like it although as PA says there are a few duds. The first three or so episodes were simply brilliant.
