    I finally saw it a few days ago on HBO, and liked it. Didn’t think I would. The hype around it turned me off, and it didn’t have any of that childhood nostalgia for me — he was created decades after I stopped reading comics or watching them on TV.

    I envisioned something with a ton of gratuitous violence — which it did have — and the glorification of “bad guys,” which it didn’t really do, at least to me. It also had some pretty snappy dialogue, some sharp repartee that was kinda like MASH meets Marvel. This started with perhaps the best opening credits I’ve seen in many years, mocking the movie industry and Marvel itself. Well done.

    Looking forward to the sequel.

    Yeah it was a good movie. The dialogue is clever and often hilarious.

    The violence is more graphic and less ‘cartoony’ than in Marvel films like ‘The Avengers’ or ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ but it wasn’t a turn-off by any means.
