BOCA RATON, Fla. — As one of the Los Angeles Rams recovering from an injury, surgery, or both, offensive lineman Rodger Saffold remained in St. Louis this offseason to work on his rehabilitation process.
That meant plenty of hours spent at Rams Park, even as the moving vans pulled up and took away the vast majority of the building’s contents. On Wednesday, the Rams officially shut down their football operations in St. Louis, the final piece of the moving puzzle. More trucks will come and take what remains and head on the long journey to the West Coast.
Saffold, who the Rams drafted in 2010, is one of the longest-tenured players on the team and has hit some serious life milestones in St. Louis. So it was with a bit of emotion that Saffold took to Twitter on Wednesday to say goodbye to the only team training facility he’s ever known.

Had my last workout at Rams Park today…. definitely left with a heavy heart
The Rams’ weight room equipment was expected to be the final thing to go and be on the last trucks out of town. The Rams are moving to their first of three temporary homes in Oxnard, California, with draft meetings for the football staff expected to begin on April 4.
