This is usually the last thing I do before the draft.

The hype of this year’s players always rises as guys vying for their pick or player start upping the abilities of this year’s players. But I like to make sure to balance them against the Player Zero: The Best prospect at the position I’ve graded … and other members of the same field.

    QB Player 0 Andrew Luck

    Luck
    Bridgewater
Matt Ryan (my first year scouting)
    RG3
    Winston
    Mariota

    Jake Locker
    Bortles
    Tannehill
    Gabbert

This is how I had them as prospects. Next year we have Cook and hackenburg that COULD push Luck, and Cardale Jones, Dak prescott, Jared Goff, and Paxtin Lynch that could push their way onto this list.

    RB Player 0 Adrian Peterson

    AP
    Todd Gurley
    Darren McFadden
    Trent Richardson
    Leveon Bell
    Melvin Gordon
    Doug Martin
    Jay Ajayi

WR Player 0 – AJ Green (Megatron came out before I was scouting)

    AJ Green
    Sammy Watkins
    Julio Jones
    Mike Evans
    Amari Cooper
    Kevin White

    Dez Bryant
    Michael Floyd
    Devante Parker
    Deandre Hopkins
    Demaryus Thomas
    Alshon Jeffery

I did not have OBJ as high as I should have.
Note: If even 30% of the top players in this class next year show up and work hard to get drafted high, we could have a new player Zero. I have ten kids that are seriously going to push this position next year. If we don’t go WR this year, next year will be just fine. Mike thomas on OHst., Mike Williams on Clemson, Derunya Wilson of Miss St., and Boyd on Pitt lead the class (waiting on Treadwell to see how he heals).

    TE Player Zero Gronk.

    Gronk
    Eifert
    Ebron
    Jesse James
    Travis Kelce
    Jace Amaro
    Ertz
    Troy Niklas
    Kyle Rudolph
    Austin Sefarian Jenkins
    Maxx Williams

Note here, the draft next year is likely to produce amazing players and possibly a new player Zero. Howard from Bama, Henry from Arkansas, Butt from Michigan, and a few others are lining up as serious candidates to reset the position next year.

OT Player zero is Joe Thomas, even though he came out before I was fully scouting. I watched him close at the combine.

    Joe Thomas
    Greg Robinson
    Taylor Lewan
    Jake Matthews
    Matt Kalil
    Jake Long
    Luke Joeckel
    Eric Fisher
    —–
    skip like another 10 players
    DJ Fluker
    Lane Johnson
    Jake Fisher
    Beatty UCONN
    Collins
    Saffold
    Clemmings
    Cordy Glenn
    Kuandjio
    Flowers

    Terrible year.

OG Player Zero is Cooper. He got injured and fell off the map, but it doesn’t matter. Coming out he was a freak.

    Cooper
    Warmack
    Pouncey (2)
    Martin
    Decastro
    Scherff
    Warford
    Tre Jackson
Then about 10 guys in this draft fall into this area.

OC Player Zero is Alex Mack, although Pouncey is basically tied with him.

Honestly this isn’t a thick enough position to do this over the year. No one really taps a first round grade this year as a true Center.

DE Player zero is Clowney (Mario Williams was before my time)

    Clowney
    LW
    Ray

    Chris Long
    Fowler
    Robert Quinn
    Dupree
    Melvin Ingram
    Henry Anderson
    Ziggy Ansah

    DT Player Zero is Suh

    Suh
    Dorsey
    McCoy
    Lotulelei
    Dontari Poe
    Richardson
    Fletcher Cox
    Donald
    Shortt
    Brockers

    Then skip ten players …
    Shelton-Goldman-Brown

Next year there are three kids that could easily go top ten with minimal gains and focus. C Jones on Miss State, M Adams on Auburn, and Nkemdiche on MISS.

3-4 OLB Player Zero is Von Miller

    V Miller
    Khalil Mack
    Beasley
    Anthony Barr
    Dante Fowler
    Dion Jordan
    Randy Gregory
    Shane Ray
    Eli Harold

    Justin Houston
    Jarvis Jones
    B Mingo

ILB Player Zero Luke Keuchly (Patrick Willis and Mayo were before my time, but may not have beaten Keuchly anyway)

    Keuchly
Te’o (I had him really high)
    Roando McClain
    CJ Mosely
    Bernardrick Mckinney
    Donte Hightower
    Maualuga
    Stephone Anthony
    Laurenitis
    Kendricks

4-3 OLB Player zero is Sean Weatherspoon

    SWeatherspoon
    Ryan Shazier
    Alec Ogletree
    Shaq Thompson
    Lavonte David
    Aaron Curry
    Arthur Brown
    Bobby Wagner
    Paul Dawson

CB Player zero is Patrick Peterson

    PP
    Gilmore
    Claiborne
    Milliner
    Trufant
    JJ
    Waynes
    Rhodes
    Dennard
    Gilbert
    Kyle Fuller
    Dre Kirkpatrick
    Jalen Collins

This is a weak class. I have big time kids coming out next year, likely to take the #2 spot. I don’t see anyone taking PP’s spot ever. Hargreaves on UF, Fuller the younger on V Tech (Kendall), and Tredavius White on LSU.

S Player Zero is Eric Berry

    EB
    Earl Thomas
    Landon Collins
    Pryor
    Reid
    Vaccaro
    Clinton Dix
    Eric Rowe
    Cyprien
    Elam
    Geathers
