Fly Rams fly! For the first time in 16 years, the LA Rams beat the Philadelphia Eagles this past Sunday 37-19. The Rams led wire-to-wire and beat the Eagles in almost every aspect of this game.

Once again, Rams head coach Sean McVay dialed up a masterful game plan, especially on offense where the Rams look extremely balanced between the run and pass. Because the Rams are so deep at all skill positions and the offensive line is playing better than at any point last year, the Rams were able to execute whatever they wanted almost whenever they wanted.

Quarterback Jared Goff was 13/13 to start the game and despite a brief lull, finished strong with a timely 28-yard touchdown pass to tight end Tyler Higbee. Goff had a flawless game passing for 267 yards and 3 touchdowns – all to Higbee.

Rookie running back Cam Akers left the game after the first drive with a chest injury and never returned. Insert second-year running back, Darrell Henderson. Henderson, who missed some time last year due to injury, had the game of his life. He scampered for 40 yards on a run up the middle and caught a 28-yard pass before punching it in for a touchdown later on that drive. All in all, the Rams rushed for 191 yards against a run defense that averaged an NFL best 92.2 rushing yards per game since 2016.

On the other side of the ball, the Rams forced three turnovers, held the Eagles to 19 points and did not give up a play over 25 yards. Third-year linebacker Micah Kiser was all over the field and had a whopping 16 tackles (11 solo), while rookie safety Jordan Fuller finished second on the Rams with 9 total tackles.

The play of the game belongs to cornerback Darious Williams. In the second half with the Eagles driving and the momentum in Philly’s favor, Williams intercepted Wentz in the endzone. The Rams regained momentum and never looked back.

The 2-0 Rams have a leg up in the NFC and travel to Buffalo to take on the 2-0 Bills this Sunday.

LA Rams Week 3 News & Notes | LA Rams Talk

The 2-0 LA Rams have a lot to be happy about. They beat two teams in the NFC (Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles) and look good on both sides of the ball. I take a look at how often they ran 11- vs 12-personnel, how players graded (@PFF) and how snap counts give us a good idea of how the Rams are using the roster.
