This year has to be one of the best times in NFL history to need a tackle. Draft class could very well end up being historic, and then you’ve got Whitworth, Peters, Castonzo, etc in FA and Trent Williams potentially on the move.

I’m listening to the 11 personnel podcast (which I highly recommend by the way) and they were discussing Mcvay and Snead’s comments about free agency coming up. They said that Whitworth is almost a lock to return and that Snead made it a point to say that they really would like Littleton back.

The part that I hadn’t heard before is that they mentioned that they’d be evaluating the draft and free agency when considering Greg. Both reports make note that Mcvay seemed to be speaking about Greg in the past tense. Just speculation, but it’s worth noting that, according to them, Snead and Mcvay were very candid about wanting some free agents back but very gun-shy when speaking about Zuerlien

In the 2008 superbowl Kurt Warner joined Roger Staubach, Terry Bradshaw, Joe Montana, John Elway, and Tom Brady as the only quarterbacks to throw a touchdown pass in three Super Bowls. Warner had taken his team to the Super Bowl every year that he played as the starting quarterback during all regular and post season games.

Overall guarantees: $40 million
Fully guaranteed at signing: $33 million

Several off-ball linebackers have reaped the benefit of C.J. Mosley dramatically changing the marketplace in free agency last year with his $17 million per year deal from the Jets ($85 million over five years). During last preseason and training camp, Myles Jack and Deion Jones signed four-year extensions with the Jaguars and Falcons averaging $14.25 million per year containing nearly $35 million in guarantees. The most recent data point is the four-year, $53.8 million extension (worth up to $56.8 million with salary escalators) Shaq Thompson received from the Panthers last December. Since the beginning of the 2018 season, Littleton has developed into a three-down linebacker excelling in pass coverage, which could lead to a strong market for his services.
