My new unfounded theory is that there are like 4 above average play designers in the NFL. The real difference between guys is situational playcalling.James Byrnes@Byrnes_88
Who are the 4 and 4 besides Reid and kitchensSeth Galina@SethGalina
I like Reid and McVay and Shanahan. Sean Payton is going to be put to the test the next few weeksIf you’re an OC/Play caller in the NFL, you can design a concept. That’s not hard. Andy Reid is an example of being elite in both categories and you see how amazing his offense has been recently

The Rams have signed LB Jachai Polite to their practice squad, the team announced.Rich Hammond@Rich_Hammond
Third-round pick of the Jets this season who got cut at the end of preseason. Then spent three weeks on Seahawks’ practice squad before being released Monday.Los Angeles Rams UK@LARams_UK
A talented player that seems to have character issues.Surprised that he’s been signed as it’s not very “We Not Me”, but it’s a potential low risk/high reward move.
A 3rd round pick this year. Been cut by the Jets and Seahawks already.
September 25, 2019 at 11:45 am #105649znModeratorWhen the Rams let Ndamukong Suh walk, they put a loooot of faith in Michael Brockers. Turns out they were right. Brock's been fantastic this year IMO. Makes this play with a pressure, forces Mayfield out where Fowler continues it. pic.twitter.com/BMHfYXCipu

DT Ndamukong Suh said the atmosphere in LA is good and he’s looking forward to going against his former team.September 25, 2019 at 6:45 pm #105666znModeratorRobert Quinn was 1 of 4 edge defenders to earn an elite pass-rush grade in Week 3 (90.0).
He was a HUGE reason why Dallas' D-Line was one of @PFF's highest-graded units last week: https://t.co/4nr6vqGwDC

I’ll be writing about the #Rams slow starts offensively this week, along with some feedback from players. But in fleshing things out some interesting things pop up:The Gurley part keeps with a theme I heard often during the offseason. There was a feel that – in retrospect – there was some overuse of Gurley the last couple years and some late-season ramifications to that overuse
And as a result of that, they felt they could hopefully minimize the late-season issue by slowing him down earlier in the season. And it seems part of that plan might be to manage his use earlier in games.
Stu Jackson@StuJRams
#LARams passing game coordinator Shane Waldron on whether the young OL has had an impact on how the offense has performed so far:“I think it’s everybody. I don’t think it’s youth of an offensive line or anyone at different spots or who’s getting in.”
“It’s the great game of football, where it’s all 11 that have to be great every play. If everyone just does a little bit better, a lot of the issues are solved.”
Lindsey Thiry@LindseyThiry
What can Sean McVay do to get Todd Gurley going?McVay: “I think we’ve got to have more plays. Being efficient on those early downs and being able to sustain drives. The more plays we get, the better it is for everybody.”
The Rams rank 9th in snap count at 197.

#Rams coach Sean McVay on Tyler Higbee and Austin Blythe, while prefacing it with nothing is guaranteed, but hopeful and optimistic both will be able to go.Gary Klein@LATimesklein
Rams TE Tyler Higbee said he spit up blood after he landed on his back vs. Saints. “Didn’t really feel nothing crazy,” he said. Stayed in game and caught a pass and then told trainers he needed to be checked out. “Thought I was coming back for the fourth quarter.”Vincent Bonsignore@VinnyBonsignore
#Rams center Brian Allen to me a little while ago: “We’re not a 3-0 team that’s satisfied….We might be the only 3-0 team in the NFL that’s not happy being 3-0 right now. But at the same time, we’re 3-0” (Which actually makes total sense)September 25, 2019 at 9:30 pm #105680znModeratorlink: https://overthecap.com/2020-compensatory-picks-projection-update-9-25-2019/
