I wouldn’t want to overload Kiser too early with play calling duties. Littleton has a year under his belt as QB of the defense so why change. I’m actually kind of excited to see Kiser as a read/react run and hit guy. Olgetree was good wlb & ok as mlb.Michael Silver@MikeSilver
For about six months, Sean McVay ranked lower than former assistants Matt LaFleur and Zac Taylor (and everybody else) on the NFL head coach salary list. The @RamsNFL fixed that on Friday…Charles Robinson@CharlesRobinson
Enjoy #NFL’s pass interference challenge. I’ve already had some sources admit that:1.) They’re going to explore techniques/plays aimed at drawing defensive pass interference.
2.) They assume every team will do the same.
NFL has totally weaponized pass interference. Just wait.

Five straight plays, all out of 11 personnel, for #Rams 1st team offense. Only interchangeable parts were Gurley and Henderson and Higbee and Everett switching in and out.Henderson and Gurley both lined up as WR’s on a couple plays

Sean McVay said Todd Gurley “looked good” in his return to the practice field. Cooper Kupp’s return was a success, as well. No restrictions for the WR, according to Kupp & McVay.==

Todd Gurley on his 1st practice of training camp, and return to the field with his teammates: “Feels good, feels good… I don’t have to prove anything to anybody… I’ve been doing this for so long, this is my job.” Asked to describe the TC plan for him, “it’s a great plan.” pic.twitter.com/ETeatFs0CQ

To better explain what the #Rams did with Robert Woods in giving him a pay raise this year and next year – totaling a reported $3 million: it was a matter of them converting incentives to actual salary.Todd Gurley looked good on opening day of #Rams camp. But it’s too early to tell what that means for his 2019 season.

NFL’s 100th season begins in four days with the Hall of Fame Game in Canton. When I went to my first enshinement in 1980, never imagined I’d still be covering the league 39 years later, be the co-host of the HOF Radio show on SiriusXM and be a Hall selector. Truly blessed.==

Day 2 of Rams practice has started, and so far Todd Gurley is not on the field with running backs. Sean McVay said at outset of camp that they had a plan in place to monitor is workload. Gurley yesterday called it a “great plan!”[On Noteboom & Allen]
“I think it’s too early to really say that,” McVay said of whether they’re where they need to be. “I think we’re confident in them. I think like anything else, really, for those guys up front especially, putting the pads on is the best indicator. Their understanding of what we’re trying to get done – Brian’s communication and then just physically, Joe’s looking like he’s in a really good position. Feel good about those guys knowing that there’s a long way to go, but there’s a reason why we have a lot of confidence in them, but they certainly have to earn it every day.”
There isn’t a better way for each player to earn their place on the offensive line than facing Donald every day in practice.

In watching #Rams center Brian Allen it’s pretty obvious he’s got some brawler in him.Right in middle of 11 on 11 period #Rams coach Sean McVay pulled the plug – there was some sort of altercation – huddled the whole team up for some choice words. They resumed the period shortly after

One thing that I’m noticing. Goff is relying a ton on Cooper Kupp in 11v11’s he’s glad to have him back.Marcus Peters has had a few pass breakups over the last few snaps. #RamsCamp
Bortles hands it off to John Kelly who stayed out. That wraps it up for day two at #RamsCamp. Here are some takeaways:
– Goff and Kupp is a premier QB-WR connection in the NFL
– Darrell Henderson is going to have a big-time role this year
– John Kelly might be closer to a lock on this team than not making it at all
– No pads. But today was chippy after multiple stoppages in practice due to altercations
– If Talib stays healthy he’s going to have a big season
– Marcus Peters is due for a bounce back year
– Rams giving 2018 draft picks opportunities to shineAa far as players that had some run with the 1’s
– WR Mike Thomas
– OL Jamil Demby
– LB Travin Howard
– OLB Justin Lawler
– CB Dominique Hatfield
– CB David Long
– CB Kevin Peterson
– FS Marqui ChristianLindsey Thiry@LindseyThiry
Rams practice was a fast one Sunday (About an hour and 10 minutes) and ended when Aqib Talib broke up back-to-back passes during 11on11. With amount of effort Talib was putting in, would never guess he’s a guy going into his 12th season.==

“Being here and getting myself in football shape and working my moves, hopefully it won’t take me four games to get going this year. … If anything, I should be better.”
— DT Aaron DonaldDonald wants to maximize all of his talents, which is why he’s been enjoying new defensive line coach Eric Henderson’s presence.
“He’s telling me my weaknesses and things I need to clean up and trying to teach me things that I can do better and work better that can help my game.”
— DT Aaron Donald…
Peters has been enjoying the veteran presence safety Eric Weddle has added to the secondary.
“It’s amazing to have him here, and it’s going to be wonderful to have him here.”
