Yes, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays all!

Well, if he doesn’t change his set up…and soon, Trump will not be in compliance with his Oath of Office and subject to impeachment on January 20th.

And I don’t say that as a “sore loser”, but as someone who actually took the Oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

As things stand now, he’s out of compliance. There are certain things he can’t continue to do. Some of these laws were passed after the Clinton Presidency expressly because of the reaction to Bill appointing Hillary to policy making positions or committees. Moreover, the financial laws now apply to the President and the Vice President. They didn’t before Clinton.

So Trump’s got a LOT of work to do.

He can’t possibly sell all of his holdings prior to Jan 20th. That would be impossible. Moreover, he wants his kids to run it. Well, that’s not in a blind trust. And while the blind trust has been standard to ensure the “appearance of impropriety” hasn’t occurred, it would be trebly difficult with the kids running it.

Having the kids in policy meetings in with Heads of State where the kids are doing business? Yeah…

The minute Trump is President, de facto, EVEN ONE DOLLAR paid by a foreign government to ANY Trump facility is, again, de facto a high crime under the Constitution. And as opposed to barring all foreign governments from staying at his facilities to ensure his compliance, he’s encouraging them.

I’m about principle. Have been my adult life. Said no to a million dollar a year job when I was unemployed with 4 babies in the house…on principle.

I would have had similar issues with Hillary and her connections with the Clinton Foundation (man, do I hate the requirement for equivocation…to even have a conversation anymore…)

NO President is EVER above the law. PERIOD.

Come January 20th, Donald J Trump has two choices. Be in compliance so that he can take the oath of office and not instantly be committing high crimes from day one…or don’t take the oath of office.

But taking the oath and then expecting that we can all just make an exception for him. NO. NO ONE is above the Constitution.

    Not even Zaphod Beeblebrox, himself.

Don’t hold your breath after the example Obama set. Obama openly defied the law.

Remove illegals, the voting dead and the democrats busing voters to vote in multiple states from the vote total Trump wins the popular vote.

    Oh well, post-truth era.

No thats in order, motor voter, Chicago and spearheaded by a guy who met with the president in the White House many many times.

You can repeat conspiracy theories all you want. It’s a partisan thing to do. I pretty much don’t pay any attention to them. Getting into a ticky/tacky board war about it won’t change that.

Just to be clear I didn’t say that. bnw did. I said trump would have lost by 15 million votes if not for Republican voter fraud, which is a number I just pulled out of my ass. But I figured, ‘what the hell’ since evidence doesn’t seem to be a requirement for political claims anymore.

The fact that he believes that there’s even the possibility for change for the better…

isn’t just laughable, it’s criminally naive.

And I didn’t get to respond in the closed thread, but no, I NEVER supported Hillary. EVER.

I spent FAR more time critiquing her than Trump, actually.

I supported Sanders, then Jill Stein. Never supported Hillary. Not for a second. She was and is a corporatist, lying, warmongering, lying… did I say lying…fascist. Yeah, I said fascist who doesn’t believe in democracy. The recording of her saying she didn’t support the Palestinian election…unless we had fixed the outcome. That so crossed the line that I don’t know where to begin. It certainly lends more credence to the fixing of the Democratic Primaries as many parties have alleged all across the country. I mean, she did everything she could to to “fix” the outcome including getting Super Delegates prior to announcing and having the DNC Chair be her former campaign chair, etc. When the Vice Chair steps down as a matter of principle…

If anyone needed to know what the Anti-Jimmy Carter looked like… I give you Hillary Clinton. Think she’s gonna dump the pumps and awful suits (that still cost a fortune) and start building homes for the homeless? Or championing clean water?

I could go on, but today’s not the day for hackles to be raised. I’m in too good a mood.

As for Assange, he should stick with non-partisan document release and leave the punditizing to the punditry.

Why not vote for Jill Stein?

Well, because at that point, the effort to not triangulate would have failed.

If… God Forbid, I am forced to choose between Hillary Clinton and one of the Republican candidates… then there is NO WAY IN HELL that I would embolden Republicans by giving them the White House.

A nominal Republican in the White House isn’t just that. It’s staffers, it’s the relationship with Congress, it’s which bills get worked on and go to the WH to be signed.

    It’s SUPREME COURT JUSTICES!!!

So, there’s no way with me living in the battleground state of FL that I’d let a Republican nominee have a chance.

The Green Party is failing to make its case between elections that they are a viable electoral alternative and there’s no reason why Jill Scott or anyone else should become the next Ralph Nader and siphon progressive votes in a binary system that doesn’t allow for coalitions thus allowing for conservatives to take charge.

At that point, it’s not so much triangulation as the basic life math that every functioning public citizen should know…

If not, Kyle Shanahan’s. I’ll repost what I wrote about it later, but …the patterns speak.

Just 4 years? Obama has been an 8 year disaster on every front. Every front. Bush was a war mongering disaster for the previous 8 years. Bubba had 8 years to sell the Chinese all the military technology he could while pilfering the social security trust fund. Bush I pukes on our ally. Reagan dumps the crazies on the streets while increasing deficit spending for a cold war payoff eventually squandered. This nation needs Trump to succeed in the economy, foreign affairs and the cementing of a foundation for the US Supreme Court in step with the vast majority of citizens rather than the loud, rude and confused minority. 8 years is a must.

Same here. Used to be more social when younger, high school and college but not now. I married one of my best friends from college and we’ve never lived near family nor friends from our college and earlier days. So I spend my time mainly with my family, more so with my son when his college schedule and social calendar will allow. Found over the years I have a lot of acquaintances but true friends I’d say are limited to those I had growing up and only a couple from college. Just reconnected with a friend from the old neighborhood while passing through Naples, FL. Had not seen him for 12 years and it was like yesterday to both of us. More than a few friends are dead due to alcohol or drugs too. I’m figuring on gardening and fishing if things go right in the future with time and brain cells left to spare for catching up with family and old friends with the inevitable bender that occurs.

You act like it’s any surprise to anyone here that the US Gov’t has been offering aid and comfort directly to our own enemies not just recently, but for decades.

    Honestly, I don’t know who you’re responding to…

It’s like there’s this phantom Hillary supporter that you desperately want to do battle with…except, they’re just not HERE.

Then where was your writing about it? Where was your credible MSM? Years after the fact and you act like you knew it all along. I call BS.

This place was loaded with Hildabeast supporters who now refuse to admit it. Before Bernie or Jill there was Hildabeast. Compared to Trump or any republican there’s Hildabeast.

    ——
No, this place has had only one hildabeast supporter == Waterfield. He actually liked her.

Now its true many here saw her as ‘the lesser evil’ but thats hardly the same thing as ‘supporting’ her. Every single leftist here preferred Bernie or Jill to a corporate-dem like Hildabeast. Now, you KNOW that.

Now, if you wanna say none of the leftists here liked Trump — that would be true. But dont say they liked Hillary. They didnt.

And believe me, Mack has been an outspoken critic of the MsM for a LONG time. All the leftists have. As far as knowing the details and nuances of whats goin on in Syria — thats a separate subject and a tricky subject. So many factions and interests and secrets and lies and propaganda. Its not just an Oil pipeline or just Israel, etc. There’s a LOT of complicated shit goin on there. Its hard to sort it all out. Alex Jones oversimplifies things.

    w
    v

BS. Countless times it is written by yourself and so many others that Hildabeast is “better”, “preferred”, “more experienced” etc. In other words express support for Hildabeast.

No Syria isn’t a tricky subject. The Nobel Peace Prize winner Obama tried hard to get us into another war in Syria and when he was out maneuvered by Putin he began arming the very terrorists murdering our servicemen elsewhere. Syria is about oil. Pipeline access to Golan Heights oil stolen by Israel which needs a pipeline through Syria to sell that oil to europe. it is not complicated. Russia doesn’t want that competition and it was entirely predictable that Putin would support his client state.

Alex Jones didn’t simplify anything. He merely reported the facts years before your “credible” sources. What you don’t realize is that the same sources he had also tried to get the MSM and “your” credible sources to report the fact. But they wouldn’t. Instead they fed you “Fake News” and you considered yourself informed. I suppose if I were you or Mack I would be pissed too.

If the ship was built and launched from space (for example if it was built at a space station already in orbit) then it would require much less energy to escape Earth’s gravity than if it was launched from the surface. Therefore it would need much less fuel.

No, even when launched from space the sheer size makes it implausible.

“If you want to accelerate a ship, everything changes. Now you have to pay energy, and if you want to accelerate it to 50% of the speed of light, the cruising speed in the film, you have to pay an enormous amount of energy. Assuming this ship has about the mass of a cruise liner on Earth, you have to generate as much energy as the sun puts out in a few seconds, integrated over its whole surface, over all wavelengths of light. That’s a lot!”

Counts on the stars in the movie. Big name celebrities can sell bad movies. The movie Swordfish was a bad movie, but the movies did well, because of Halle Berry’s breasts. Just saying.

Her breasts are all that is worth remembering from that movie.

I have not seen the movie myself, but if Jennifer Lawrence is showing her breasts in the movie, it would probably save it. I seen the previews, and I thought it looked bad to me. I’m waiting for January 3rd, when the new Resident Evil movie comes out.

occurs in all nations. Zika has been around for at least 70 years in the tropics. That some women IN OTHER COUNTRIES are now identified as having the Zika virus and a child with microencephaly does not prove causation. Again the microencephaly so called epidemic STOPS AT THE BRAZILIAN BORDER. Caps used to provide emphasis of salient fact that apparently is conveniently overlooked or ignored.

Actually Colombia is seeing a huge rise in microcephaly and other birth defects that correlates with the increase in Zika infections.

But again, this is beside the point. The Zika virus can now be found in the US. If there is any chance at all it may be linked to birth defects why shouldn’t the federal government study it? Why should the US govt not fund research for this or any over issue?

Yeah, I’ve started to catch up on the Syria story, and these two videos about sum it up.

Here we are supplying, training, and financing ISIS and al-Qaeda in Syria. I mean…that fact alone ought to just discredit the US government.

It will be interesting to see what happens under Trump. If there is a silver lining of any kind whatsoever in a Trump presidency, it is the probability that he will ratchet down the Syrian conflict and the confrontation with Russia generally. We will see if the president actually has any control over foreign policy, I guess.

Alex Jones reported the US military aid to ISIS and Al Qaeda years ago as soon as it began. Military personnel were giving witness to the drops and the terrorists laughing at them telling them Assad first then they’re next. Too bad the “credible” MSM still doesn’t acknowledge the fact. But should an american citizen send a $5 donation to the same terrorists the MSM will be all over the case with the FBI lauded for their great work in keeping us “safe”. Fake News. Gotta love it.
