ESQ: What would you like to see change?
Well taken in context-
ESQ: What would you like to see change?
CE: I’d say get to work and start being more understanding of everybody—instead of calling everybody names, start being more understanding. But get in there and get it done. Kick ass and take names. And this may be my dad talking, but don’t spend what you don’t have. That’s why we’re in the position we are in right now. That’s why people are saying, “Why should I work? I’ll get something for nothing, maybe.” And going around and talking about going to college for free. I didn’t go to college for free. I mean, it was cheap, because I went to L. A. City College—it wasn’t like going to a major university. But it was okay. And then, you know, I didn’t finish, because I decided to become an actor, ruin my whole life. [Everyone laughs.]
So taken in context I’d say Clint was expressing wishful thinking because kicking ass and taking names is going to be met with resistance to put it mildly. He’s talking about real change.

bnwBlocked“societal convention” if that means Political Correctness then yes flaunting it is common sense and long overdue.
Well, I don’t think it’s ok to be an asshole to people, and usually when people complain about PC that’s what they are defending…the right to be an asshole to people.
Not in my experience. I’ve found there are the professional offended who make mountains out of mole hills and people are very tired of it. The intent is to deny people with an opposing view a voice and that pisses people off. Long overdue.

Mariota suggested Goff try an exercise in his downtime: Record himself saying a play call, play it back, diagram the play on a sheet of paper, and then visualize the progression
Man I love this on so many levels. Not going to gush about it…but I am pleased.
Wait till he tries it with the Rams O line and WRs that are last in the league.

Actually the number of people harmed by vaccines is incredibly low especially when you consider the millions of people vaccinated each year.
Then why the need for a “Vaccine Court”?

bnwBlockedThey said the same thing about Sam Bradford.
They tried to build around Bradford. He got injured.
They’re adding Goff to a more developed team: “The one piece that we needed to stabilize our team was QB,” Snead told USA TODAY Sports before Sunday’s practice.
That’s the key…they’re ADDING Goff to what is a more talented team. Goff and Bradford are very different kinds of qb talent btw.
More talented? Gurley is an upgrade otherwise there isn’t an Amendola on this offense. TA is more of a runner and decoy.

bnwBlockedI’m still with Jill. My interpretation is similar to some of the folks that commented after the article. I think basically she’s saying “lets take these questions/concerns seriously, and not just blow them off, and lets do more research on these issues.” And i agree with that approach. I also dont have a problem with her view of computers/corporations/profit/schools.
w
vThat’s fine. There are still more issues in which I agree with Jill than disagree.
But this fear of wifi stuff is ridiculous. The incidence rate of brain cancer is no higher now than prior to the incidence of wifi. And it hasn’t been ‘blown off’. Countless studies have shown there is no link. As pervasive as wifi is today, if it caused cancer, there would be a huge increase in cases. But that hasn’t happened. This is not a question that should be continue to be taken seriously because it simply isn’t supported by data.
Should we continue to spend time and resources determining whether the Earth is round because some people continue to take that question seriously?
So you don’t believe the increasing electromagnetic burden is a cause for concern?

bnwBlockedHe’s for real. He’s not a professional polished fake politician. He speaks his mind and that can lead to misleading soundbites taken out of context to the message he wanted to convey. He does it because he doesn’t employ a filter unlike the staged everything coming from Hilabeast. He is always accessible to the press unlike Hildabeast who has gone 8 months straight without a press conference. It is both a strength and a weakness for him. It is what set him apart from the field of 17 in the primary. Manafort will likely go bald before the election.

bnwBlockedNo, I disagree. They paid Foles because they thought he was the answer at QB. No one was talking drafting a QB first overall the next year because the team thought they had their QB in Foles. Hey it is StanK’s cash so no tears here.
Again the differences between us I think amount to semantics.
The point I am making is that they never pumped him up or touted him as top qb talent.
It was all along the lines of he can do the job, not he is top qb talent.
If you’re saying his contract reflected how they estimated him, then, it’s important to note that in the category of qb he was–a starter signing his 2nd contract—his was the lowest of that group, and by far. I mean 4-5 M lower than the next lowest. Plus it was just a 2 year deal. That did not indicate he was The Answer, as in now we’re set for years with a top qb talent. Instead it indicated he was An Answer, as in yes we can win with this guy, he’ll be fine.
They never talked about him the way they talk about Goff, and that’s just a fact.
So it just depends on what one means by The Answer.
To me, from what I saw, the only thing they saw him as The Answer to was not having a vet qb starter (cause they intended to trade Bradford).
They thought he would be okay. The contract numbers reflect that. For anyone else of a higher caliber, including guys like Dalton, that contract is insulting low.
….
….
Ok I can agree with that though the Foles era ended when they drafted Goff.

bnwBlockedFlorio: The same people who think Jared Goff is the answer now, thought Nick Foles was the answer a year ago.
Yeah Florio is fond of that kind of spin.
First, no one thought Foles was “the answer.” That’s bs.
Wrong. They thought Foles was the answer since they signed him to a big contract before he ever threw a regular season pass for the Rams.
This is semantics.
I was talking about how they measured his skill. They talked about him as being good enough to help a defensive team win.
If by “the answer” you mean a top franchise level qb, no they never indicated they thought that.
It was more like he was AN answer—to having or not having a qb.
And his modest extension made him by far, and it was by a LOT, the lowest paid starter in a second contract in the league.
The extension was a modest and smart calculated gamble. It was either pay him a modest extension then, and tie him up, but risk not seeing him come through…
…OR not pay him, see him do well, and then become a much more expensive FA.
Either way it’s just semantics but nothing they did indicated he was THE answer. And they quite simply did not talk about him the way they talk about Goff now. In fact when it comes to that the difference is stark.
….

Where I live, I am very close to getting voted off the island. But it;s the civil war and both the union people and the confederates are voting me off simultaneously.
