…the other team scores more points than your team and you feel sad?

That can’t happen to us, right?

If the Rams get through these next three games without that happening, conversations about them will begin to take on a historical context…undoubtedly involving the “U” word.

I’m going to hate that, myself.

I’m not sure I even want the Rams to go undefeated, let alone have every discussion about them revolve around it.

Weird conflicting emotions…not sure I want the Rams to go undefeated, but can’t identify a game I’d want them to lose…

I know all this is very premature, and I’m just rambling, but…

I don’t have to win. I hate losing.

I am going to predict Seattle.

They’re tougher than people think, and it’s a division game, and they will have more at stake (wildcard), and the Rams have beaten them when they were the lesser team so it’s karma.

As for the rest of the league, Rams will incinerate them like a processed meat product in some industrial facility’s catastrophic conflagration event.

The Rams have been superhuman–and right now it feels like they are Batman taking on Supervillians: Packers(Aaron Rodgers–Joker)(Drew Brees–Penguin)(Russell Wilson–Riddler)(Patrick Mahomes–Scarecrow).

I never WANT the Rams to lose. Having said that–I’m not sure a loss would be the worst thing in the world going forward. I don’t know that I want them going into the playoffs with that “undefeated season” pressure. So I expect a loss in one of these games–maybe two of them. The key is which one? The best one to lose–if there is such a thing–would be the Chiefs game. Out of division and conference.

However, this team has to be tired. I think they are very close to NEEDING that bye week.

The game against the Saints may be a bit too much to ask. It’s a tough one to lose, if they do, because of playoff implications regarding home field, but I can see this being a really tough one to pull out.

But even if that happens–in the long run I think the lack of pressure for the “undefeated season” would be an opponent they would be able to remove from the schedule. And it’s tough playing two opponents every week.

Oh…I just said something about this in the wrong thread, I guess. Yeah. Sounds like we all kind of see this as a blessing/curse in the same way.

I’d just as soon not have it, honestly. And like PA, I cast my ballot for the Chiefs because that game doesn’t mean a damn thing.

I think the Unbeaten talk starts if they beat the Saints, and then kicks into High Gear if they make it to 11-0.

Then a loss becomes more than a loss. It’s much worse, and I just don’t need it.

I refuse to participate in this travesty! I still vividly remember 2007-2011.

    Win forever.

We clinch ‘Home Field Advantage’. We don’t play our starters the last 4 games. 😉

if going unbeaten means riding gurley into the ground, then i’m not for it. rams need to start monitoring his touches the rest of the way. give him some rest. that might mean a couple losses. but i’m ok with that. keep him fresh for the playoffs and beyond.

The Rams will go 11-0. And then lose three in a row. And in the playoffs, the NFL will make them play the Vikings in the snow, in Minnesota. And the Rams will blow a 17-7 half-time lead, and lose 23-20. And life will never be the same.
