I love Willem Dafoe. The first two movies in which I saw him perform were Streets of Fire and To Live in Die in LA. Neither were particularly great movies, but I remember thinking that he is amazing at playing a villain. Platoon was the first movie that saw him playing a “good guy.” That is when I really appreciated what a great actor he is. There were several movies on that timeline that I still need to see. There were also many Dafoe movies that I have seen that were not included. I still want to see The Lighthouse.

The thing that I liked best of all about that video is that Dafoe seems like a genuinely nice person.

My favorite of his “weird” movies is “The Grand Budapest Hotel” Definitely a bad guy in this one…

I love the Wes Anderson movies. Dafoe is fun to watch in them. He was also great as the voice of the rat in Fantastic Mr. Fox.

I can’t help but notice that he completely skipped over the film Off Limits. It’s not surprising. I completely outclassed him in that movie, so much so, that in his jealousy and fury, he demanded that every scene I was in get chopped to the cutting room floor.

Dafoe will be back in the MCU spiderman 3 as the green goblin. In s-man 3, universes get tangled so that spidermen and spiderman villains from other universes end up in ours. That means Toby McGuire and Andrew Garfield are in the movie as other spidermen, alongside Tom Holland. And do are (as said) Dafoe’s Green Goblin and Molina’s Doc Ock.
