Starting with Everett and not counting Foles (cause he crashed n burned).

I saw all of these games.

Everett, 11/16 1986. Loss. Everett comes off the bench in the 2nd quarter at New England, replacing Steve Dils. He completed 12 of 16 for 3 TDs. Rams took the lead but the defense lost the game on a hail Mary pass.

Warner, 9/12 1999. Win. First game, first start, an easy win over Baltimore. Warner was 28 of 44 with 3 TDs, and the Rams led the entire game.

Bulger, 10/13 2002. Win against Oakland. Bulger replaced Martin for the game, who had replaced Warner. Bulger was 14 of 22 with 3 TDs. He was not the starter until 2003, but it was a good beginning.

Bradford, 9/12 2010. Loss. Bradford had 3 INts and only 1 TD. But he actually showed enough that people were encouraged.

Goff, 11/20 2016. The story has not yet been written.

I remember all those games…. The Everett game was on national radio…freaking Eason Hail Mary jacked it up….

I think the Rams were 0-5 when they played Oakland with Bulger and beat a good Raiders team..

I still have all 1999 games on VHS. I still have Warner’s 1st game on tape.

    I hope Goff is successful

Can’t remember if I saw Bulgers first game or not and, maybe it’s a coincidence maybe not, Bulger was my least favorite of the group.

Never really felt the love for Bulger for some reason, but I never questioned his heart like I did Everett.

I did see Everett go after Jim Rome for calling him Chris 1 too many times.

I really wanted the Rams to trade Bulger and keep the greatness of KW.

But Bulger won me over with some great comeback games. SD, Bears, and Sea… you couldn’t count Martz’s Rams out of a game back then….

Bulger….”, his most impressive game to me was a game he played in the rain in Pittsburgh.

He was a good QB, but not real animated and didn’t seem to be very vocal

I know you know, but Warner’s first ‘appearance’ for the Rams was the last game in 1998. I know it really doesn’t qualify as a game because he only threw 11 passes, but i distinctly remember the debate on the AOL message boards back then about getting him into live action. It became apparently about half-way through 1998 that Banks wasn’t going to be the future, and lots of people wanted to see Warner play – largely because of how dominant he was in NFL Europe earlier that year.

You have to be odd, to be number one.

I know you know, but Warner’s first ‘appearance’ for the Rams was the last game in 1998.

That’s true and I kind of slighted that.

Okay, how about this instead—first game as the starter?

Which means I have to move Bulger to 9/14 2003, and a home win against SF.

But that’s all too confusing so instead I will revert to “overlooking the Warner game from the end of 98.”

In that game btw (a loss to Atlanta) Warner was 19 of 32 with 1 TD and 230 yards.

I divide games into 2 sets. First, there’s the sports bar games. That’s until 2004. All since are direct tv games.

People make a big deal out of them moving to St.Louis and back to LA, but to me, by far, the bigger move was when they went from sports bars to direct tv. Yet that barely got any press.
