This can obviously be up to six games; if the progress hoped for at the current time doesn’t shake out, he’ll have to go on season-ending IR. But there is no reason to go with season-ending IR now if he is thinking there is a shot at returning for a possible playoff push.

Sean McVay confirms that Andrew Whitworth has a grade 3 MCL/PCL – and estimates a 6-8 week recovery. He will go on IR this week as previously reported (and the hope is he will return for a playoff push). McVay says it’s not season-ending.
