This is, by FAR, the weirdest
ram team i can ever remember in 40+ years
    of watching them.

I watched the Replay of the 49er game,
and i’m not gonna do a replay-post but
the general impression i came away with
was the total ‘inconsistency’ of their play
on offense, defense and special teams.
Great plays, bad plays, great plays, bad plays…

All game long. All season long.

I’ve never seen anything quite like it.

I’d like to say the Defense played great
and came alive — but that last drive, the 49ers
drove right down the field — as per usual.

    Great plays, bad plays.

Think they stopped Gore? Well he had a
big run called back and frankly the 49ers
stopped Gore as much as the Rams.

Honestly, i have not seen a ram team
    this good-bad.

They can win a quarter 21 to nothing,
and lose the next quarter 21-0.

The only question for me, i guess,
    iz,
is there an upward ‘trajectory’ here?
Is the inconsistency due to ‘youth’
    and a ‘learning curve’?
If it is, they will get better.
    If not, then i dunno.

The Buc, 49er and Seattle wins, really
didnt feel much different to me,
than most of the losses as far as
    execution and consistency.

    8-8 would be a fitting
    record for this team.

Well my question is, is it the same sub-units that are inconsistent? Secondary, OL, etc. Or is it time-wide? Or, conversely, are there any sub-units (DL, etc.) that are MORE consistent?

I completely agree with that. The wins and losses feel the same to me. Very erratic play. And in the losses, those erratic plays + penalties = fewer points/loss.

In the wins, erratic plays + penalties = more points/win.

You know, right now there is a bit of hope and optimism dawning in Ramland. But if Kaepernick doesn’t bobble that snap on the last play, the 9ers may very well have won.

And we would all be fitting Williams’s neck for the chopping block again.

Seems like a coin flip on about 5 or 6 plays per game. You know…heads or tails…best out of 7 flips.

if they can’t find a long-term solution at qb they are in big trouble. that’s the one thing they’re missing. might be davis? might be someone else. but yeah. they need to find one.

Well yes, better QB play would help,
but even if Bradford were playing this would
still be a Good-Bad team. They woulda
won a game or two more, i guess,
but the Defense would still be the defense
and the special teams would still be inconsistent
and the OLine would still be the Oline, etc.

    Something is very Wrong-Right
    with this team.

    Its weird.

So you’re saying the RBs and WRs are consistent.

    Okay. x
