Since I’m all medically goofy, I need clearer heads to review something for me.
My wife has left me unsupervised while she is at work (sucker!). So I have free time.
I have screenshots of this crime, but I have to upload them somewhere to post them here, I think? I don’t know. It’s too much trouble. Anyway, to the evidence! Taken directly from the NFL box score.
Game Log:
All of this happens at the start of the 2nd quarter.
14:03 1st and 10 at the RAM 13
Carson Palmer pass incomplete short left intended for John Brown (defended by Cody Davis)13:57 2nd and 10 at the RAM 13
Chris Johnson right tackle for 5 yards. Penalty on Jermaine Gresham: Offensive Holding, 10 yards13:50 *2nd and 15 at the RAM 18
Carson Palmer pass complete short middle to David Johnson for 6 yards (tackle by Michael Brockers)*No. It wasn’t supposed to be 2nd and 15 from the Ram 18. It was supposed to be 2nd and 20 from the Ram 23. I went back and watched the game. Sure enough, the refs only marked off 5 yards for offensive holding. The Rams players and coaches didn’t catch it. Nor did the commentators.
13:10 3rd and 9 at the RAM 12
Carson Palmer pass complete short middle to David Johnson for 5 yards (tackle by E.J. Gaines)12:23 4 and 4 at the RAM 7
Chandler Catanzaro 25 yard field goal goodI tweeted @Mike Pereira about this grave injustice, but of course he’s hiding from the facts.
I expect everyone to take a knee before the Bills game, and every game, until the league returns our 5 yards to us!

The way to do that is to convert them to jpegs and that’s easy. Then you just use the “img” function to post them.
Here’s the easy as pie site that converts images on your computer to jpegs. Once the process is done you get a thumbnail, then you click the thumbnail to get the image proper, then just right click on that image and hit “copy image address” and then that’s the code you can post here with “img.”

1st and 10 at the Ram 13. This pass fell incomplete, thanks to the competent Cody Davis
2nd and 10 from the Ram 13.
Chris Johnson takes the ball to the goal line. But wait, there’s a flag. And it’s not against us!
It’s holding against Arizona. 10 yard penalty from the line of scrimmage at the 13.
The line of scrimmage should now be the 23. But it’s not, it’s the 18, as evidenced below.
The TV clearly shows 2nd and 15. You can see the line of scrimmage and 1st down marker.Next play, Palmer completes a pass to David Johnson for 6 yards. Then Arizona kicks a field goal.
We’ve been shortchanged! I want my 5 yards back.

And if so that just went by everyone, including the announcers.

The upside to being a Rams fan is heartbreak.

Good. I’m not alone. I thought maybe it was the meds…
October 6, 2016 at 5:39 am #54622CalParticipantGresham could have been holding 5 yards down field. You’d have to watch the play to make sure that Gresham’s holding occurred at the los if you really plan on bringing the NFL to its knees with your protest.

I thought holding was marked off 10 yards back from the line of scrimmage. It wouldn’t do any good to mark off holding from the spot of foul on a running play. Anyway, I’ll watch it again to be sure.
And yes, I will crush the NFL for this! Join me in my quest! They will rue the day they trifled with us!!!
October 6, 2016 at 5:53 pm #54658Isiah58Participantthe holding was down field, which was why the ball was marked ten yards from the spot of the foul, not the previous line of scrimmage. This happens with receivers, like Gresham, as opposed to lineman who are never downfield blocking.

I rewatched the game. The holding was 3 yards past the line of scrimmage. Either way, the refs got it wrong. They either owe me 3 yards or 5! LOL!
