I know I should be fully in the bliss of a Rams Super Bowl victory, but…

This came completely out of the blue for me. I haven’t heard anyone talk about it until today. Any chance this happens? There is also speculation about McVay’s retirement. What the hey.

McVay sorta (perhaps unconvincingly) dismissed the retirement talk surrounding him.  The Donald retirement rumor was new to me. Note that when asked Donald didn’t poopoo it.

i think the mcvay one is overblown.

the donald one…  i hope not.  but it sounds a little more serious to me.  rodney harrison did an interview with ad.  afterwards he revealed that donald told him directly that he was seriously considering it.  if they won.

maybe he just needs time to decompress.  it was a long season.

If somehow both McVay and AD do retire, we will struggle to make the playoffs. It may take another 20 years before we get back to another Super Bowl.

McVay isn’t going to retire. He is telling Stan he has to pay him.

Peter King thinks Donald will retire.

I was just coming to post that Donald/Corden bit.

Aaron Donald says he’ll return if Rams re-sign Odell Beckham Jr. and Von Miller

This should be taken with a grain of salt, given the context and Donald’s celebratory mode . . . but I don’t like the sound of it. I’m betting there is no way the Rams can afford Miller. OBJ is another story, especially after his injury. He’s likely not gonna be ready until the playoffs, so his salary will take a hit. But Miller is going to want to cash in.

If the Rams do sign Miller, I don’t see how they retain guys like SJD. IMO, he’s more important to the Rams future than Miller. Yes, the latter played great football for the Rams, and it would be excellent if he returns. But not if he wants a huge contract — not at 33.
