    Used to be, I would be busy doing something, then realized I needed a thing, and go to the other room and then stop all befuddled because I forgot what I went there to get. So I would go back to what I was originally doing.

    Lately, I am busy doing something, then realize I need a thing, and go to the other room, stop, pause, because I forget why I went there. So I go back and then…can’t remember what I was originally doing in the first place.

    That was my Saturday afternoon. Went into the garage to get a wrench to tighten a loose arm on my recliner, saw the bag of Japanese beetle killer-stuff, grabbed the bag and walked into the back yard to spread that around my birch tree, realized the outdoor hanging plants needed water, so I went back into the house for a pitcher and realized I needed a wrench for something.

    My wife thinks I’m becoming forgetful to the point of occasionally needing supervision. Maybe tomorrow I will try to leave for work in my pajamas just to see if she’s paying attention.
