    USA Today power rankings

    http://www.usatoday.com/sports/nfl/rankings/

    11 St. Louis
Rams 0-0 — — If Nick Foles is even OK, if rookie Todd Gurley is even 85%, promising group should be good enough to end playoff absence.

    Holy crap.

I would expect that kind of expectation only from a Rams fan. I doubt even most of the Rams beat writers would rate them that highly.

    I like them.

I think they have a young corps that is now hitting its stride. I could really see this team taking off. I thought they were ready to step up last year until Bradford was lost, and the OL got wiped out. Again.

But now there is hope that with stability in schemes, and with some experience, this young, young team could elevate itself this year.

I like them better than the Cardinals and 9ers.

let’s add on to that. say greg robinson takes several steps closer to being the left tackle snisher thinks he will be. say stedman bailey becomes the receiver many are anticipating. say cignetti finds more ways to get tavon involved in the offense. say tre mason builds on last season and becomes that running back 1b. say brian quick comes back healthy. say alec ogletree reports to camp in shape. say aaron donald continues to build on last season. say the defense comes back under the same system for the second consecutive year.

lots of ingredients continuing to simmer. wonder what it tastes like in 2015. cuz it hasn’t tasted quite done. yet.

    Yeah, its an interesting ranking.
I think they got it right, btw. Thats about
    right where I’d put them.
They certainly have the talent to be right
there in the 9 or 10 win range, fighting
    for a playoff spot.

I agree with that. I think they are right, too. I am just very surprised anybody nationally thinks that. Given the usual level of ignorance we see nationally.

This is a team BUILT for late/post season football. Fisher teams (good ones anyway) get stronger as the season grinds on. Too bad about the dome…I mean LA
