This new Konk-adium project. The one
where all the pictures and do-dads
impressed the owners and convinced them
to screw ole Spanos — well, I’ve seen the Pictures. And nowhere do i see a big curved Horn.
Just seems like they coulda incorporated
a big ole Horn,
spinning off the roof or a big ole horn sculpture.
Ya know.If yer gonna spend a hundred billion dollars,
you’d think there’d be a horn.George Lucas woulda had a horn.

I notice you didn’t mention a Massey statue. I’ll assume it was implied…

In this land we brag about our conquests.
I would think the Kronk-atorium would
have a giant statue of a golden horn
up the ass of St.Louis.And if you dont want that kind of statue
maybe you should just go back to
green bay or some other socialist country.w

i was going to add massey but i fear that kroenke will eliminate any remaining evidence of the st louis rams.
if you go on the welcomehomerams.com website you’ll notice they omit the st louis years from the history. i realize it’s a welcome la rams but still. they should find some way to recognize those guys at some point.

January 19, 2016 at 12:51 pm #37658DakParticipantFisher said in an interview that he was in on the meetings about the new stadium during the season.
So much for his patented line that he didn’t know what was going on, he didn’t want the distraction.
January 19, 2016 at 3:00 pm #37661bnwBlockedSince StanK is funding this stadium on his own I hope he loses big.
The upside to being a Rams fan is heartbreak.

January 19, 2016 at 3:47 pm #37662HerzogParticipantI can’t even imagine what a complex like that would bring in on a yearly basis.
Anyone?

Anyone? No idea. I think the owners are pretty squirrelly about
releasing that kind of info.w

Kinda hoping for a minimum of 9 wins… 😉
How’s that for a start?
January 19, 2016 at 6:30 pm #37666HerzogParticipantOK, so just off the top of my head
I’m gonna assume payments on a 2 billion dollar loan to be 10 million a month. Revenue sharing alone will pay that.
Yeah, I don’t know what the hell i’m talking about.
I miss the St. Louis Rams

More than all of us on this board combined will earn in our lifetimes.
There’s a casino. A 300-room hotel. 3,000 residences (mostly single-family and townhouses), a shopping center, and a 6,000 seat theatre.
Oh, and office space. 780,000 sq. feet of office space. The current average rental in LA county is $2.51 per sq. ft. per month for office space. So the office space alone will generate about $2 million each month IF they charge the AVERAGE rate which they probably won’t.
The stadium is supposed to seat 80,000 with another 20,000 in standing room. Let’s go with 80,000 times an average ticket price of $100 times ten home games. That is $80 million in tickets.
January 19, 2016 at 7:15 pm #37670ZooeyModeratorRetail rental was $25 sq. ft in 2013.
And there is 890,000 sq ft of that.
So that’s over $22 million per month.
So Retail + Office + Rams only = > $100,000,000/year. Never mind the housing, casino, theatre, hotels, parking lots, concessions, and merchandising. And local radio rights and whatever. Plus whatever Spanos pays to lease the stadium, as well as other uses of it, plus the advertising and naming rights. TV revenue.
Yeah, he’s going to need a couple dozen CPAs just to count the money.
January 19, 2016 at 7:32 pm #37671HerzogParticipantOK….
Wow
January 19, 2016 at 9:33 pm #37681InvaderRamModeratori don’t know about the inglewood stadium, but staples center is the #1 sports venue in the united states. earns $345 million a year in revenue as of 2014.
January 19, 2016 at 9:36 pm #37682InvaderRamModeratorok. just as i read this article. another article claims cowboys’ stadium generated $420 million in 2014.
January 20, 2016 at 6:45 am #37698bnwBlockedThere’s only so much money to go around even in LA. Retail developments fail all the time. StanK doesn’t have the security blanket of building for his pappy-in-law on this development. StanK isn’t building it in the stix where the competition can stagnate for decades. StanK better get Spanos in a long lease because if it proves so wildly successful after 5 years the competition will emerge and Spanos’ Chargers is the prize tenant. Would be so cool if Spanos ropes a lease from StanK that gives him the out or better bargaining power with StanK. Karma is a bitch.

January 20, 2016 at 7:05 am #37703GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantGet over the butt hurt bnw, the Rams are in LA where they always should have been.
As for the new Stadium and City of Champions project there have been plenty of articles over the past year of what is involved and how the project will be funded and how profits will be made from it.
Search the archives of the LA Times by Sam Farmer and Nathan Fenno.
This is not just about a stadium. Its about a great entertainment district that is going to put LA Live (AEG’s baby) to shame.

Talk is cheap GRITS just like the support for the NFL in LA. Las Vegas is a great entertainment district. LA is a zoo.
