Last year, they were too chippy by far. It got them in trouble a couple of games, like Carolina and others.
Now they make colossal mistakes, and it deflates them. To the point where they tell guys like Wagoner after the game that, yeah, the big mistake du jour deflated them.
Sounds like a team that not only lacks a deep well of confidence, but also like a team without strong internal leaders. A team can have respected leaders they sort of listen to, but then if the guy isn’t a big difference maker on the field, he’s a more limited voice. Their best players, in contrast, are not outspoken (eg. Quinn).
