Even First Take has talked about this,

Because everything in LA is blown out of proportion.

The upside to being a Rams fan is heartbreak.

    Sprinkles are for winners.

Given what Mike Silver posted it sounds like Dickerson over-reacted. It’s a shame he feels disrespected by Fisher/Rams but given Silver’s comments and how fast Demoff reacted it seems this is all in Dickerson’s mind. Yes, I realize I’m leaning heavily on Fisher’s version of the story as told to Silver but frankly, it makes a lot more sense than Dickerson’s version. I think that once Jeff said he would prefer that he not be on the sidelines Dickerson simply stopped listening.

How can he be banned if he has a lifetime sidelines pass at every NFL game?

Coach Fisher calls Dickerson on the phone, and tells him as long as he is Head Coach, I don’t want you here. Dickerson got pissed, and tells the media about it, and Jeff Fisher now has to lie about it. Jeff Fisher should be gone. If you saw the video I posted from First Take, which is above. You can see how they feel about Jeff Fisher, including Stephen A. Smith.

No, Jack. That is not what happened. That’s a truncated spin-version of what happened and leaves way too much out and tailors it a certain way. Read Mike Silver on this, it;s here on the board.

    Agreed.

Eric Dickerson’s being a little thin-skinned, but so is Jeff Fisher, in the Dickerson versus Rams dispute. It reminds me a lot of another big star openly criticizing the team he made famous—Joe Namath versus the Jets.

If Dickerson wants to be in the media, he needs to get used to a team being ticked off when he’s critical. And if the Rams want to court their famous and popular alums, the head coach has to let criticism by one of them roll off his back.

Eric Dickerson… reminds me a lot of another big star openly criticizing the team he made famous—Joe Namath versus the Jets.

According to the logic of the syntax there, Dickerson like Namath made his team famous.

Like…there were no Rams stars before Dickerson?

Yeah cause until 1983 and Dickerson, guys like Olson, Jones, and Youngblood labored in forgotten obscurity?

Today around the NFL compared to Dickerson, yes, obscurity. There’s also the Offense vs. Defense thing exacerbated by the rules emphasizing offense, fantasy football ignoring defensive players etc.

The comment said UNTIL Namath and Dickerson brought their teams fame, they were unknown. That’s absolutely not true of the Rams before Dickerson. It’s not even a little true.
