On Saturday night, hours before we all learned that Peyton Manning was retiring, the man expected to replace him was getting pizza at a Scottsdale, Ariz., pizza parlor.
TMZ posted a video which looked to show Broncos quarterback Brock Osweiler carrying a pizza out of the establishment as a woman points at him and says, “He’s right here. Say it to his face.”
Osweiler turned toward the woman, who had just put her hand on his back, and pushed her away. He then continued toward a van when a man pushed Osweiler forcefully from behind. The man then said “What the f— you doing, dude? You trying to fight a chick? Get the f— out of here!”
Osweiler didn’t respond, but instead gathered his party and got into a waiting van. Two police officers appeared to disperse the crowd.
“It’s just a downtown Scottsdale scuffle,” officer Kevin Watts, a spokesman for the Scottsdale Police Department, told AZCentral.com in a statement. “More officers came in the area and sent everyone on their way. There was no crime, there was no victim. We’re not handling anything regarding this matter.”
The Broncos have made it known that they want to keep Osweiler, who becomes a free agent on Wednesday, and their latest offer is for three years, $45 million. If the two sides can’t come to terms, the Texans are thought to be very interested in the former Arizona State quarterback.
