Hey, fellas, I just typed a bunch of stuff in a post saying hi, then my browser changed windows somehow and I lost everything I typed.
Summing up:
Busy because of house and job. Kind of house poor right now. Sorry I wasn’t able to do more for Bernie except vote for him. Sadly, my wife’s vote for Hillary cancelled us out and we lost Missouri.
Didn’t follow the draft, but saw that the Rams traded up for a QB. The only thing I know about Goff is that Bernie M. says he’s all about product placement on Twitter and that BM thought that makes him a good match for Stan’s Rams.
More than ever, I don’t see myself following the Rams, or really the NFL in general. It was kind of liberating not being sidetracked by draft stuff. I really don’t know if I would have had time to follow it, anyway. The cool thing that’s happening right now in STL is sports fans are all behind the Blues. Hockey is the big-time local sports story as the Blues advanced to an NHL conference final for the first time since 2001. They’re playing JoeMad’s Sharks. It’s been fun watching playoff hockey.
I’ll try to stop by more and more. I’m in deck project hell right now. The only thing this previous owner did in his 3 years here was put “Deckover” over the beautiful cedar deck. This shit was coming off on our shoes and coming into the house. But, a lot of it won’t come off at all. I’ve already power washed. Tomorrow, I sand. We’ll have to paint instead of stain since there’s now way we’re getting all of this brown Deckover off.
The only thing that’s slowed down my work at home was coaching my son’s school basketball team and YMCA basketball teams over the fall and winter. Looking now to see if we can find another league before the school year starts (one of those leagues that too isn’t too competitive or too easy … in the Goldilocks talent zone).
May 14, 2016 at 8:16 am #44010znModeratorVery good to hear from you Dak.
Yes stop by often as you like.
Goff btw has the potential to be one of the 2-3 best Rams qbs ever. I don’t know if that interests you. Maybe it’s like hearing that an ex- finally learned how to play the clarinet.
But there’s more to us than Goff. So say hi. We’re your online crew.

Stop by more often.
May 14, 2016 at 10:58 am #44019bnwBlockedHi. Great news about the Blues. I might try watching a game. Haven’t followed them since the early to mid ’80s when Liut was goalie and both the Blues and the Steamers were packing the Arena. I hope this is the Blues year.
Feel free to visit or better yet stay to hate on StanK. I do and it’s good.

The upside to being a Rams fan is heartbreak.

See this is why women should not be allowed to vote.
Always good to hear from you Dakasaurus.

May 16, 2016 at 8:02 am #44123DakParticipantThanks, guys. Fighting through some kind of weird illness, so I didn’t get back here as soon as I wanted to see your responses. Now, I have to go read Billy T’s thread.

May 18, 2016 at 3:14 am #44206MackeyserModeratorHey Dak!
I’m kinda in the same boat. In my case I root for the Rams, but the Kool-Aid drinking has become a full on Bacchanalia and I’m a Teetotaler. Not necessarily here, per se, but all over the web…you’d think the Rams were scheduling the damn Super Bowl victory parade now based on the draft. Worse, by the behavior of some fans I’ve seen in some corners of the interwebz, Ramfan is looking to be the next Bostonfan…that fan who becomes an obnoxious asshole the minute his/her team wins even a little bit. Like they’re going to completely forget every legit critique of every obnoxious Pats fan ever while engaging in exactly the same behaviors and rationalizing it away with stunning bits of logic like, “we were due”.
So, between me not playing WoW anymore (community has become toxic) and not really posting much about the Rams much these days as well as finally getting back to BJJ, I’m more in the “focus on me” mode.
Mostly, it means my kids have to say Dad a few less times before I answer… Lol.
