I am not happy however with the idea of Shaun Hill being the number one QB and no this is not an Austin Davis should be number one post. This is the Rams were REALLY FUCKING STUPID post in ignoring the QB position in the draft. Arrogant and stupid was Jeff Fisher not to consider a QB in the late 1st round. From what we have seen this summer they didn’t need Tre Mason. A deal could have been worked for a late 1st round pick to get a QB with some talent. In retrospect, if Bradford does not renegotiate his deal with the Rams and sticks it out for at least one more season then he’s a total bust as of right now. Yes, Bradford has talent but it never did the Rams one bit of good.

The Rams cannot justify Bradford’s salary for 2015 based on his body of work. Based on his history of being hurt he’s been grossly overpaid. Sam’s injury leaves the Rams on a treacherous course in a rough sea with no stabilizer or rudder for their ship.

We all better hope that Hill is a miracle man much like Warner was in 1999. I doubt it but we need to hope he is.

Hill does not need to carry this team. He just needs to get the ball to our playmakers. We have more developed players in that role than Bradford ever had. Describing Fisher as arrogant and stupid well IMO that’s not accurate.Time and again similar judgements have been made and proven wrong.They have a vision and access to far more knowledge than fans do. I think you will be surprised by this D when you see the other 80% implemented . We have not even seen all the starters start yet and very simple vanilla schemes . Look at the Time of Possession stats. This team has shown it can move and control the ball and create turnovers. If Bradford is such a bust then why will we even miss him? Hill is not Bradford I’ll give you that but he is not Clemons either and he has more than Clemons had on both sides of the ball

There are different views on Hill. There’s no way he can be Warner cause how many ever have been? It’s rare. He can however be Hostettler, McCown, Beuerlein etc.

There are some out there who say he’s better than Bradford in fact (I don’t believe that at all, but, just pointing to the range of views).

There are some who have said they’re almost ready just to pack in the season and turn to other things, because all the Rams have is Hill.

I think he played pretty well for a Detroit team that had no defense and no running game (though they had Calvin Johnson).

I agree with ER that “he has more than Clemons had on both sides of the ball”…and for a while there, with good run defense, a pass rush, and Stacy, the Clemens Rams (or Clementines as some called them) challenged Seattle at home and beat 2 playoff teams. This team is better and more mature than that one.

I think of Hill as a cagey guy who makes good, quick decisions and has enough arm and accuracy to make things happen in that crucial 11-30 yard range.

Anyway the opening game featuring 2 Replacement QBs–Cassel and Hill.

That one will depend on how much the defense has come together so far.

It’s early but I am regretting the Tre Mason pick a bit. At the time I wasn’t crazy about it but I knew that Stacy got dinged a bit last year and could use the relief. At the same time, with Cunningham and Watts, he has the relief. I didn’t know about Watts but at the time they also had Pead. Anyway, I would have liked to see more from Mason than we have. He averaged 2.9 yards a carry this preseason with poor pass protection. Hopefully he improves.
