    Stafford to Kupp.

    That’s the game right there.

I thought the Rams were going to lose that game early in the 3rd

Sony Michel 92 yards with some very nice runs…

    Defense was solid today.

    On to Minnesota….

Still have some work to do. We need to fix up our run D. And the Oline was inconsistent tonight, like pretty much this season.

Seattle played good. It was a tough win. Another big game for Kupp.

The team has rebounded nicely from that ugly stretch versus 3 good teams. Even though it worked out, I did not like the play call on the long pass to Kupp on 3rd and 1. That’s the kind of stuff that can burn a team. I’m too conservative I suppose. Not enough praise is possible for what Kupp is doing this season. I appreciated McVay sticking with the run again this week. Nice to see Henderson back out there contributing. Matt Gay is steady, what a good late addition he was last year. The NFC appears to be wide open, but I think the Packers or Niners are currently the best teams. Go ahead, take away my Rams fans membership card.

Only saw the hilights, but it looked like Stafford has learned
to just take the sack and not go all gunslinger under pressure.

If there’s any optimism in wv-brain its because of Sony Michel
and the run-blocking. Imagine playing in Green Bay in January
    without a hard-nosed running game.

I thought the Rams would lose this game, so, Im quite pleased.

Who is in first place now, Cards or Rams?

Eventually you get to coin toss, which is the last resort. I assume teams from a hat, is if it comes down for a 3 way. or more, if all other things can’t decide from the top.

Cards based on division record (4-2) vs Rams (3-2).

One more thing, I like Skowronek. Perhaps he can put up some Josh Reynolds type numbers over the next few seasons as well as being a reliable downfield blocker in the run game.

It’s a decent win, especially for the defense. They contained Wilson with a 4-man rush all night, and the Seahawks never seemed to have the upper hand in the game. The Seahawks played pretty well on defense, though they may have been helped by the fact that the Rams had zero live practices all week and a ROT who isn’t a ROT.

The Rams dominated the first half, and yet it seemed like a moral victory that they went into halftime tied at 3. But the Rams just won a slow, inevitable tug-of-war match where they just steadily dragged Seattle all night long. Seahawk fans are rightly upset about a couple of blown calls, but they can’t really believe they were in that game. They got 200 yards all night. And I’ve heard no mention of calls the crew blew the other way. Hochuli’s crew is disturbingly bad, it seems to me. I don’t usually even know who’s calling the games, but seems like every time I hear Hochuli’s name, it’s for the wrong reason.

Jalen Ramsey is a really good football player, and may be the best Ram’s corner they’ve ever had. I like Deayon. I think Williams is better in man coverage, but I didn’t hear his name much last night, and that’s usually a good thing. Gerald Everett is the only guy who can feel like he did his bit in the passing game. Taylor Rapp and David Long are on life support, as far as I’m concerned. The Rams’ stellar streak of drafting secondary players was interrupted by those two guys.

Matthew Stafford seems like the LE model of Jared Goff. He’s better, but they sure look alike in their inconsistency. They both make these amazing throws sprinkled with WTF throws. That first INT Stafford threw was terrible. It was so bad I don’t know how it hasn’t drawn more attention. He wasn’t hit. He wasn’t off balance. And that ball was nowhere close to the target.

Sony Michel is what I was hoping for when I read about him at the trade. He has done enough to legitimize the Rams rushing attack, and defenses have to respect the run. He doesn’t have the flash and burst of the legendary backs of yore, but he is good enough to keep the Rams’ offense balanced.

The Rams put in a solid game in spite of going through the most turbulent week of the season, and there is reason to hope that they are peaking at the right time. They are even in a decent position to take the division after all, though the road ahead is not easy. I don’t see them beating GB in GB, though.

But first things first. I hate the Vikings.

So if the rams beat the 49ers and end up 4-2 in the division,
the next tiebreaker is ‘common games’.

Several different views of M.Stafford on this lil board.
    Joemad thinks he’s worse-than-goff,
    you think he’s Goff-LE, and
    wv thinks he’s a top-5-QB.

I dunno. I cant explain that 3 game stretch where he was bad, except,
maybe he was fighting off some nagging injuries. But i dunno.
He sucked for three games, though. But the other 11 games? The stats
are top-5. And lately, without Robert Woods, which is a huge loss.

I think we ALL agree the key to the season now, is the running game.
Give Stafford a running game, and the rams are very dangerous.
The whole personality of this team changes. I mean for three solid weeks
they looked like wimps. A finesse team. Easily bullied by the Titans, 49ers, etc.

McVay had to have seen that, and figured out they need to pound Sony Michel
and regain some semblance of power-strength-attitude.

Now they look like a playoff team. They look tougher. More like New England.
The Hollywood team looks more like a serious football team.

It aint about Stafford. Its about run-blocking and a guy named Sony.

Not quite the media version of the ‘star-studded’ rams.

“…and also still expect to get second-year back CAM AKERS active in time for a playoff run, if not sooner. McVay told The Athletic in October that Akers (who tore his Achilles when working out off-site before training camp) was on track to make a postseason return. He may actually be able to at least return to practice in some capacity in the weeks prior to any postseason run…” J.Rodrigue

The Rams could win the next three games or lose the next three, and neither of those scenarios would surprise me more than the other.

Yes, McVay’s comment about Michel’s role in the Pats’ 2018 SB run was one of the most interesting things I’ve heard him say.

Rams outplayed Seattle in the first half and tied them 3-3.

Rams outplayed Seattle in the second half and won it 17-7.

Edit. I thought you wrote “Oline” so i responded as if you said Oline.
    Which you didnt say 🙂

    I hope so.
But i also think its equally likely they just havnt played
a DLine in the last 3 weeks, as good as
    the Titans, Packers or 49ers.

    I dunno.

I don’t think it was just that (DL beating up OL). I think those are the games where running the new all Stafford, shotgun plus drop back and so just throw offense got caught up with. That offense was doing the OL no favors. I think what happened in the last 3 games is that they both began running more and using more play action. Though I’m not going to swing this too far to the other side cause Seattle did get to Stafford a bit on Tuesday. We’ll see when they play SF again.

Plus the last couple of weeks they’ve played different Oline combinations. That has not helped. I think it is likely Edwards should not play tackle.

They have the opportunity over the next few weeks to really get it together. If they do, the Rams are going to be very good!

It was Evans at tackle though, right? Or is that who you meant.
