Another game against The Russell Wilson(or should we say Ciara’s husband), got us in the last game. So it is a revenge game for us. Can we beat them? We shall see.

    Seattle defense.

    23rd in points
    24th in yards
    31st against the pass
18th in yards per pass attempt allowed
    30th in qb pressures
    30th in sack percentage
8th in rushing yards, but 23rd in yards per rush (teams pass on them)
20th in scoring percentage (percentage of drives ending in a score)

    Where are they good? Turnovers.

The thing about this game is the Rams defense–can it contain their offense?

Even with a young “a year early” 2020 OL, the Rams offense can handle this defense.

Goff ended up picking them apart earlier this year. He was 29/49/395 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT and the INT was a PERFECT pass Gerald Everett tipped to a SEA defender. He has thrown 5 INT’s in five career games vs SEA however, so they do create turnovers.

The SEA D is not that good. The Rams D must somehow keep Wilson from completing 3rd and 38’s for first downs and TD’s or wiggling out of sacks and somehow contain Carson/Penny, but the Rams run D (besides the Ravens debacle) has been very good.

Other than Wilson (and their overall record obviously), SEA hasn’t been very impressive this year. Up here in the Pacific NW, I’m force-fed their games (I always watch until a SEA win is obvious), and they could have lost 8 or 9 games with very little help (again Wilson is hard to kill off as I’ve always said). They’ve had problems putting pressure on opposing QB’s all year, and beyond great LB’s, not much special going on with their defense.

Was their impressive win over the whiners fools gold, or have they turned a corner? Based on the MINN game last night, I say they still look like an average NFL team = very beatabl. Again their season record is awfully misleading…SEA favored by one point should tell us how “intimidating” their record is.

Btw, Saints favored over whiners by a couple. It’s getting very interesting…

I had forgotten at one time, the seahawks had won ten in a row over the Rams, and 13 out of 14.

Seattle got a bit lucky in their last 2 wins over the Rams.

In 2017, Gurley fumbled on the pylon… play was reviewed and deemed a touchback / turnover, Rams ended up losing 16-10 when Kupp dropped a 4th down TD pass to end the game….. the Rams came back and laid 42 points in Seattle for the rematch game….

In 2019, we all remember that Greg Z missed a 44 yard potential game winner….. it should not have come to that…. Seahawks were aided by a bogus late hit by Clay Matthews on R. Wilson.

Rams are good team… I hope they win on Sunday.
