NFL first overall draft pick quarterback Jared Goff now has two games under his belt. His first go around against the Miami Dolphins was pretty rough, but he showed marked improvement in his second game against the New Orleans Saints.

Someone else noted that what separates him from other QBs is
    his ability to:
    move away from trouble
and then zing it accurately and quickly — because he finds his balance again instantly. I mean he may ‘look’ offbalance but he’s not. He’s got some sort of ‘gumby-ability’ thing goin on.

    Thats what i see, anyway.

    Its an unusual talent.

    Wentz dont have it.

I am seeing a completely different guy from preseason. Well, that’s not exactly right. We saw the flashes in preseason, but he just looked totally green.

This guy is good. I mean…right now…he IS better than Keenum. No question. You have to be excited by having Goff at QB going forward, for sure. He is going to be better than Bradford. That over the shoulder shot to Austin was a throw Bradford could not make the first couple of seasons. Bradford had trouble with fades and over the shoulder stuff. He was always good on a line, but not as good with touch. I didn’t watch the Saints game, and only part of the Dolphins game, but Goff seems more nimble to me, and has better accuracy, and zip. I am all aboard the Goff train now.

There were times when his play so far would be taken as the best you could expect from a Rams qb.

And…he’s just starting out and can only get better.

Sometimes, on a play here or there, his combination of arm strength and quick release and fast decision making are just startling.

I assume of course that the high passes thing will diminish.

He has the potential to be talked about, sooner or later, in the same terms people used to talk about Rodgers, before this year.

Basically this is just all his good throws from the 1st half of the Saints game. Not that that’s a complaint.

I wonder if their record would be any better if Goff had started
    from game one?

I assume if he’s gonna have a really bad game,
it might be against Belichex on the Road, in the cold.

It would be nice if they had a running game.

Early weather prediction is expecting around 40 degrees with no precipitation for Sunday’s game. I know this ain’t sunny LA, but 40 should not present any major problems. I watched the tail end of the Pats – Jets game last week, and they looked awful. Dropped passes and bad routes; a little like our horned wonders in times past… I found myself actually thinking that the Rams could beat these pukes. Will they? I don’t know. But watching how poorly the Pats played, I got the sense that they could. GW should commit to putting a collar on Edelman, taking away one of Bradys favorite targets. Gronk is already out due to injury, so, you limit Bradys options and then let the D-line have their way with him.

I know you know this NE, but if you live in cold weather zones, you never consider the 40s bad. Unless it’s a damp and humid 40s, then it can chill a little, but in fact the 40s are nice. You just need a jacket and the air is comfortable. I have 2 woodstoves and I check the weather to see if I should crank them up early. If it’s going to be in the 40s I never bother.

And I doubt the Rams feel the weather. Heck for that matter, Berkeley can be in the 40s this time of year–it’s not southern cal. And of course that’s where Goff played. He is not going to have worse weather in Mass. this weekend than he has seen in Cal, and of course Cal also plays on the road in Oregon and Washington.

And yes I think this year’s Patz can be beaten. Their defense isn’t better than the Rams defense this year. And Brady’s notorious weakness is a team capable of rushing him down after down.

As disappointing as this season has been, a win over the Pats would indeed bring a brief respite to my tormented existence.

    The Patriots $%#*&$* suck.

    And I hate them.

I hate them, and I hate Bellisatan, and I hate Mr. Victoria Secret Guy.

That is all that matters here, and my hatred will be the difference in the game.

    Rams 59 Patriots 3.

I’m going to the game with my wife.

I’m planning on three and a half hours of misery.

And it could get even worse if the Rams lose.

    Ba-doom boom.

Seriously, my wife could have picked a better game for her first NFL experience.

Hopefully the Rams will make the Pats work for their win.
