Vitt, Haslett, Fassel.
I have to say Fassel. It’s not just that he did a credible job under very bad circumstances, even though he did not win any. He did it with class and an even balance. Vitt was okay too. In retrospect Haslett had issues, including politicking to be the permanent HC. But also, with Fassel, being in that position allowed him insight into the team he would not otherwise have. Since he stayed, that has to be a valuable resource for McVay. At the end Fassell was asked, what are the problems. And he said, the offense does not have an identity. That was interesting.
So McVay’s staff includes a former head coach (WP), a former interim head coach, and 2 former offensive coordinators who are now position coaches (Olson and Kromer).
