    his length. specifically arm length. is the only thing that bothers me. if only his arms were 2 inches longer.

     

    but i’ll also say he’s probably my favorite pick.

    I like the pick, but as others have mentioned, I think they gave up too much to get him. At that point in the draft, it’s all too likely they could have found a player who helps them just as much as Fiske, if not more, holding onto their spot. But the Rams obviously wanted that particular player, and if he lives up to their eval, tough to argue with that strategy.

    Other negatives for me are his age, and arm length. If the Rams make it to the playoffs in his rookie year, he’ll be 25. But that’s more and more what the Rams want in their players. At least in the McSnead era. They go for the maturity.

    Also like their focus on the D overall.

    Smart.

    Fiske at DE … not having long ams he does an offensive line move a quick double arrow or wquick forklift to get hands off of him. Pushed up on arms, then outside swipes at the same time — quick hands can make up for short arms

    I heard an interview on a pod from one of the organizers of the senior bowl. They had to move Fiske the day of the game to the other team due to injuries to the DL. That was the one guy the orgnaizer knew wouldnt freak out if he had to tell him that. Also said if you got to watch the game film of the Senior Bowl to determine MVP of the game, Fiske would have won it.
