    Love her music. I knew about her before her recent cross-over fame, mostly due to Orange is the New Black, I’m guessing. But a recent viewing on PBS reminded me of her versatility and originality. She is so sweetly shy on stage, so humble, but moves into a near-possession stage when she sings most of her songs.

    Classically trained from a very early age, this Russian-born woman has “it” as far as I’m concerned. And she’s maintained her independence and hasn’t “sold out.”
