IMO…Rams lost it on 4th quarter penalties
Ick
Goff looked fine in a first start, made some throws with zip
November 20, 2016 at 7:30 pm #59064AgamemnonParticipantI blame Fisher. He should have gone it instead of attempting the last FG. I think it was that big of a mistake. I am not going to hammer this, but I had to say it.

You have to be odd, to be number one.

While you are doing that, I will go play computer games. bb in a couple hours.

The Rain made a huge difference this game. Not until it abated did Miami even get going on offense.
November 20, 2016 at 10:56 pm #59091NERamParticipantI thought the momentum started to swing when Robinson got called for that stupid block in the back. Goff had just scrambled for a drive continuing first down, teammates were pumped on the sideline and there was a lot of positive confidence for the rookie to build on. But nope, Robinson decides to hit someone in the back that was no where near the play, and who had no chance at all of making a play. No first down, no more time off the clock, then the crap started happening. Missed FG, then the 4th quarter penalty fest.
Bad way to lose, hand the other team the game cause you lack discipline.November 21, 2016 at 12:56 am #59096JackPMillerParticipantAfter today’s loss, Jeff Fisher just tied Tom Landry for 2nd place for most losses by an NFL Head Coach.

i agree with that. i also don’t think he or boras were aggressive enough on offense although that might have to do something with goff starting his first game.
but i also blame penalties. that lies with players and coaches.
i think the offensive staff has been a colossal failure this season. if fisher stays he better make changes on offense.

The Rams are certain to beat New England.
November 21, 2016 at 10:27 am #59118PA RamParticipanti didn’t see the game. I was in NYC for the day. I tried to follow the score off and on and I saw the early TD and thought–wow–great. Then the Rams shut it down and it was 7-0 forever. Then I saw they got a FG and thought–wow–cool—that should lock it up.
Then I saw Miami scored and it was 10-7.
And I thought–here we go–but probably another close win.
Then I saw Miami scored—a TD. 14-10.
And I knew–game over.
And I just laughed a little. My emotional investment has checked out for the year. Fire Fisher and move on. Or we can keep playing “Groundhog Day” over again next year. I’ve seen enough of it.

vIMO? Overall he did well considering the conditions (ie. against a top pressure defense in the rain).
IMO also–he had some throws that just show superior talent. At the same time he had a couple of rookie things–some passes too high, some too low. But to me that didn’t overshadow the promise.
He looked like a starting qb. One who (from what I saw) will only get better.
There’s a vid with every throw he made. You can form your own opinion. I would be interested.

Looked like a super-star in the making to me. Showed the same pocket-presence and escapability and niftyness in the pocket we saw on the college vids.
Great release, nice touch, good zip, threads the needle.
His misses were almost all of the ‘first start jitters’ kinda misses. Didn’t have the timing down yet. A little over-anxious.
He’s gonna be great. Too bad the rest of the offense is such a discombobulated disaster.

So true.
The upside to being a Rams fan is heartbreak.

November 21, 2016 at 6:50 pm #59180InvaderRamModeratorwell one thing i expect them to do is gradually open the offense up as goff gets more reps and is more comfortable.
goff’s debut is one of the few positives i can take from the game. didn’t seemed surprised by anything the defense threw at him.

yeah. he’s nimble. that’s the biggest difference i see between him and bradford.
hopefully we see the staff give him more responsibility as the season goes on.
