Well they started slow but the offense came alive and looked the way it is supposed to look. (Limmer at center btw.)

The defense had many great moments but at certain points they drew flags right and left. When this defense finally gets to be consistent, watch the hell out man. 😎

Those two WRs might be pretty decent. 🙂

.500 seems about right for this team that is young in some key places. They sure don’t look their age on the D-line though, but Verse’s penalty before the pats got to with 6 was costly and looked like his youth getting the best of him. I like Limmer better than Jackson, but I don’t think the Rams are dominant in the middle by any means. I’m encouraged about the future there, however.

The Rams are -50 in the first quarter this season. I think I might not turn on the tv until the 2nd quarter begins the rest of the way. Watching the first quarter is too aggravating. Great second and third quarters today.

I don’t see how they keep it close vs. the Eagles next week.

EDIT: too early to give up on Karty but I’m concerned.

    Jackson Avila Limmer Dotson McClendon

    Better OL than last week.

Which is not to write Jackson off. Last week he just wasn’t ready to play.

Stafford, WR1, and WR1a were awesome. Williams and the running game looked like they did after the bye last season. I just wish the offense would ix-nay the slow starts.

It’s hard to expect more from the defense given their youth. Even with their inexperience they are better than most defenses in the league. But they commit stupid penalties at the worst times. Hopefully it’s just a product of their youth, but Verse and Young are sorta lunkheads.

McClendon was better this week than Noteboom was last week. It’s hard for me to project much about McClendon based on this game, though, so who knows about his future. But IMO Noteboom should, in all fairness, be a goner after the season. He’s injured too often and he doesn’t always play effectively when he is healthy. He was awful last week.

Drake Maye looks the part of a starting QB.

The OL was better than last week, but not as good as it was against MN and SEA. Stafford had a few WTF throws again this week, though not as many as last week. I wondered during the game if he has an injury somewhere in his throwing arm. He’s not as sharp as he was to start the season, and Miami beat him up.

There are still seven games to go, and the Rams could tighten things up. The offense just hasn’t gelled, and I will guess that it will. The defense seems to be less about cohesion, and more about raw inexperience and rookie mistakes. There’s reason to be hopeful on that front, too.

The Rams did what they had to do today – beat an inferior opponent – but they didn’t look real good doing it. Even when they were in control on the scoreboard, it didn’t feel like they were in control of the game, and in fact, they weren’t. NE still had a chance in the closing minutes.

I think that loss against MIA is the one they couldn’t afford. They gave away their margin. To reach 10 wins now means going 5-2 to close the season, and that doesn’t look likely. But if they don’t do that, they aren’t really in the hunt anyway. They COULD win the division at 9-8, but that’s not a “serious” team.

To go 5-2, they will probably have to knock off either Philly or Buffalo to make up for the MIA loss, and if they can’t do that, then this isn’t their year anyway. They will also probably face a Must Win against AZ.

Oh, and Braden Fiske. Another sack and another forced fumble.

    2 sacks.

I assume that as a 9ers fan you hate Fiske–not as much as Donald of course but still–yet you should nevertheless try to rise above that and endeavor to be objectively honest.

Oh, I realized my typo almost immediately, and I thought that I could go back and edit it to correct the problem, but then I thought, nobody but a Seahawks fan would be crass enough to point out my error, and here we are.

Fun game to watch defense is improving quickly Speights is making an impact I wouldn’t be surprised if Reeder stays on the bench. Offense is getting there , pats defense was highly rated coming in. Stafford has all those comeback wins largely because of his slow starts over his career. I would think with all the smart people in this organization they could figure out how to get him warmed up and stop giving away the 1st quarter. Limmer has earned his starting status No way he should be paid less than Noteboom. The interior Oline was looking much better.
