It’s the one thing this defense- regardless of scheme- can do to markedly improve. Simply get pressure more often. And miss fewer tackles.
Not sure how PFF counts QB pressures. On Pro Football Reference they have the Rams with 58 QB pressures (6th in the NFL) and a pressure rate of 25.7% (12th).
I find that in most of the more advanced defensive stats the Rams are in the 10th-16th range. I think that’s why you see the analytics sites ranking their defense in the 10th-14th range overall.
3rd down percentage (30th) is really the big stat that needs improvement.
