Les Snead says that, as of now, offensive guard Rodger Saffold is going to be “too expensive for us"

Rodger Saffold is here at #Rams headquarters saying goodbye to everyone. He hasn't officially signed with a new team, but obviously, it looks like he's Rams career is over.

Former Rams' OL Rodger Saffold intends to sign a four-year, $44 million deal that includes $22.5 million guaranteed with the Tennessee Titans, per source.

I’m assuming Notebloom plays LG with Saffold moving on, so I hope we can still sign a Guard though, like a DJ Fluker, who won’t be expensive, is 330 and play RG.

He turned out to be such an outstanding guard. He seems like the ideal teammate as well. He comes across as selfless, always willing to do whatever it takes to help his team win. He experienced the lowest of lows with the Rams and stuck around to make it to the Super Bowl. He was one of the only current Rams that I felt sentimental about.

I think that if Whitworth had retired, they definitely would have kept Saffold.

I figured they would keep him regardless but for sure if Whit had retired.

Very resilient fellow. Glad he got to go to the Super Bowl with us.

They had to a figured that Fowler had more positional value. Plus, they obviously know what they have on their practice squad. Plus I think they draft to offense of lineman one early ( first three rounds ) and one late

I hate how they let Brown go for nothing. He really solidified the Giants line. Rams could really use him.

If it was the good old days of the Owners actually being able to Own the players, the Rams would have kept him.

Players get to be paid what they are worth now.

Jamon Brown's deal with the Falcons was for three years, $18.75 million. It includes $12.75 million guaranteed. That's solid money he earned by stabilizing the #Giants line midway through the season. He wasn't returning once they traded for Kevin Zeitler.
