I happen to agree COMPLETELY
with La’s view on this Running-QB thing.
I dont think its wise to take a 2-D-QB
and try to turn them into 1-D-QBs.
What would be the point of drafting RG3
and then turning him into a pocket=QB ?

Just another example of a young qb now being asked to be something more, or different than what/who he is.
Stay in the pocket and be more of a traditional qb. That takes time at this level and is really counter=intuitive to what they’re skills would suggest.
The things that made RG3 and Kap successful was their two-dimensional ability and the way it had to be defended. Running just opens up so much more for them and creates easier reads.
Last season in the Championship game Kap had over 130 yds rushing against Seattle and was one play away from the SB. This game he’s one dimensional and they get thrashed. SF’s identity on offense has been all over the map this season.
Side note, I noticed nobody commented on the HC taking over play calling in the game last night. I thought that was germane.
Anyway you have to let these guys be who they are and adjust to their strengths. Neither Washington nor SF are doing that IMO.
Washington is asking RG3 to be something else and adjust to a new offensive system, yet they bench him on a team going nowhere when he could be using this playing time to hone his skills.
Where is Colt McCoy taking you at 3-8?
Pete gets it IMO and is letting RW be who he is, The Whiners and Skins are not.
Sometimes these so called “professionals” out professional themselves.
Despite some progress, the NFL is still entrenched in the good “old boys” way of doing things.
