I’m confused by the Jim Irsay penalty.
As I understand it, he can’t attend the first six games, and he was fined $500k.
I’m not seeing that as being in line with player punishments for PEDs and so on. A player who is suspended for 4 games loses salary, too, and that’s often a heck of a lot more than $500k, and a player’s net worth is much less than an owner’s. And 6 games he can’t watch in person? But can watch on TV? This seems like a token punishment to me. I think the fine should have been a few million, at least.
