RT Rob Havenstein got some work in individual period today, a small escalation of his workload after mostly working to the side with athletic trainers last couple weeks. CB Cobie Durant worked to side with athletic trainer for a second consecutive practice.

Sean McVay on Rob Havenstein, who did some work during the individual period of today’s practice: “He was able to take part in a good amount of stuff, and so it was positive.” Have contingency plans for whether Havenstein can or can’t play vs. Lions

Rob Havenstein was able to participate in at least the media’s viewing portion of practice today, and also in the walkthrough earlier today. First injury report of the new season rolls out later today, but expect he will be listed as limited per McVay.

The Rams put Darious Williams on injured reserve with a hamstring issue. This is significant – backup Cobie Durant was also dealing with a hamstring.

    Darious Williams: Out 4 games
Tre’Davious White: Coming off torn Achilles
    Cobie Durant: Hamstring injury

After that, it’s UDFAs Charles Woods and Josh Wallace.

Rams secondary went from revamped to pretty darn concerning.

Not taking  corner or addressing depth at the interior LB position were my only real concerns from the draft. So back in May if you had told me that the Rams would trade Jones for a future late round pick, and that Williams would be out before the season started I would said that the Rams would not be making the playoffs this year. Throw in Jackson being out for two games and it sounds even worse. This is shaping up to be a bumpy opening to the season. Hopefully the Rams find their footing sooner rather than later or I think this season goes off of the rails fairly quickly.

thought that Tre White and Darious Williams were sneaky huge keys to the Rams season and now Williams is on IR

McVay said Durant is expected to be ready to go for Sunday night’s game against the Lions in Detroit.
