Remember what that used to be like?

From 99-2004. 5 times anyway in those 6 years.

    From 83-89.

From 73-80, though, I wasn’t around for all of that (I started in 78 really though I saw some games from before that.)

For me the story of the year is McV and his scheme. It is so much fun to watch players getting so wide open and having room to run.

Atlanta is a worthy, battle-tested opponent, and
its just awesome to be playing them in the playoffs. They were the one team i didnt want the Rams facing, but what the hell.

And if they win….the dreaded malevolent mother-fucking North-Men. How cool is that.

    .

Unless the Panthers upset the Saints. In which case, the Rams go to reeling Philadelphia and avoid the Northern Climes for another week.

The Rams will be playing in their 44th playoff game on Saturday. This will tie Oakland for 9th most in NFL history. If they win the following week they’ll tie the Colts for 8th most (45).

A playoff win Saturday would tie Miami for 11th most (20).

    ==================

Playoff Plays, stay with us a long time, sometimes. The good and the bad.

I still have vivid memories of (in no particular order):

    1 Proehls Catch.
    2 Ike’s catch.
    3 The Tackle.
4 The hit on Jeff George.
    5 Isiah Robertson’s INT-runback.
6 The fourth down stop of Staubach and the Cowboys.
    7 Waddy’s catch
    8 Hakim’s muff
    9 Flipper’s catch
10 The Tom Dempsey blocked FG
    11 The Joe Kapp hurdle
12 The Kurt INT vs the Pats
    13 The Cromwell dropped INT.

I suspect Cooper Kupp is going to add some memories (good or bad?) to that list, come Saturday.

    5 Isiah Robertson’s INT-runback.

that one very is underrated…. off Sonny J. in relief of Kilmer against the Redskins. As a kid growing up, specific events and / or games increased my admiration for the Rams, that game and play was certainly one of them. I remember the celebration of the team surrounding, jumping and hugging Isaiah after he ran past the endzone at the huge coliseum field.

Saturday’s game:……., the whole family and many friends that never gave a shit about the Rams are pulling for the Rams because they know fans like us have remained loyal, I’ve been getting texts and VMs from people that I have heard from in years….

Pinch me… the RAMS are hosting a playoff game at the Coliseum!!!!

Would like it better if our Rams were going to be playing in February. Just saying.
