This is just a kwik hit definition of “balanced offense.”

Seattle is a run run run offense. In 2014 they passed it around 48.5% of the time.

New Orleans is a passing offense. They passed it around 60.2% of the time.

A balanced offense is more around 53-56% passing. (It won’t be straight up 50/50). Like Baltimore — they passed it around 54.2% of the time.

IMO Rams will continue to be more like Baltimore.

Last year, even with 2 different back-up caliber qbs, the Rams passed it around 53.8% of the time.

And Gurley can catch the ball, so….that will be part of it you would think.

I think we’ll be closer to 52%… maybe a bit lower, depending on our success in the passing game on play action and the running game.

I KNOW if we are running and getting first downs and then scoring TDs (even if it’s with a pass), Fisher is going to stick with the Run. Keeps the D fresh, wears out their D and wins the battle with the clock.

But yeah, I think 53% would be our ceiling and that’s high considering our draft and emphasis.

Sports is the crucible of human virtue. The distillate remains are human vice.
