happy birthday! aren’t you having the best birthday!?
Yes, a rather good birthday, actually. I wasn’t able to watch the game, and instead enjoyed a nice dinner out with my wife. Much like WV, I don’t enjoy watching the Rams when they are in suck-mode.
I did get a chance to celebrate while watching the Patriots lose to Denver. And quite frankly, that’s one of the things that irks me when the Rams are playing bad football. Cause when they are, I have to wring out my happiness by hoping other teams lose, instead of hoping my team wins.
Anyhow, FWIW, the talk about the Patriots being against the world, and Brady being so P.O.d about “Deflate-Gate” that he was going to exact his revenge on the entire NFL by going undefeated, is now, thankfully and mercifully, over. They’ll make the playoffs, and might win the SB, but the “perfect” season is no more. So, yay.
SOB’s almost pulled it off tonight. Again.
After losing Dion Lewis, then Edelman, then Amendola, and now tonight Gronkowski, Brady still got them to a tying FG with 69 seconds left, and 1 Time out. Sent the game to OT, where they ended up losing.
All I could think of, when Gronkowski went down and Brady had no more real offensive weapons, and still managed to tie the game, was that final scene in Terminator, where only the metal Cyborg hand had any movement or signs of life. That’s what the Patriots reminded me of, tonight. These friggin mothers just won’t die…
But, in the end, die they did. Brady looks rather pedestrian without any weapons, and an offensive line that’s been switched up numerous times this season. He makes bad throws, hurried throws, and even gets sacked every now and then.
So, that’s it. I can go to bed happy. Just not about the Rams, though. Happy cause someone else lost.
Sigh.
