This despite the fact that evidence shows that immigrants commit crimes at a rate less than legal American citizens.

This contributes to the perception that immigrants are criminals. It’s a lie but it’s supported by so-called ‘leftist’ Hollywood.

And it helps Trump get away with squashing human rights at the border.
