I enjoyed today’s Kyrien Williams game. Who needs receivers.

Lots of guys showed up and played well. Stafford, Higbee, Wms, Freeman, Avila, Donald (who drew the bodies to free up other guys), Turner, Fuller.

I don’t give them much chance against the Browns though.

    Good running game.

The next two weeks will show, where we are. If we can beat Cleveland and beat the Ravens in Baltimore, then we have a chance. In other words, we need to keep winning.

Other than the Card’s opening drive, the Rams defense played great…

Stafford 4 TDs… he threw to 8 different receivers today.

Rams still need a solid kicker.

    Cleve in LA!

kyren williams was awesome. what a difference a running game makes. part of it was the defense they were going up against but that’s the best the running game has looked since kyren left.

Today Williams played like the next great Rams RB. Different running style than  Faulk, Jackson or Gurley but today his numbers put me in mind of those three in their primes. Kupp limping after the first drive was concerning but glad he finished the game. Not sure how useful he is moving right now. Great day by the defense, but it was the Cardinals.

If you had told me before the game that Kupp would finish with 18 yards/0 TDs, and Nacua with 27 yards/0 TDs, I would not have expected a game dominated by the Rams which was basically over by halftime.

It wasn’t a pretty game, but this may have been an important game in the Rams’ development.

It’s only the Cardinals, but the Rams just thumped an NFL team the old fashioned way, with rushing and TEs. That bodes well. When Stafford, Kupp, and Nacua figure out how to co-exist, this offense will again be near the top of the league.

And Kyren Williams looks like the Rams’ next star.

Props to Atwell for a couple of nice grabs.

And the Browns game is winnable, imo. And they may need that game to make up for the Steelers game. DeShaun Watson and Nick Chubb are out. Amari Cooper and Myles Garrett are questionable.

The Rams need to win 4 of the remaining 6 games to have a shot at a wildcard date. With the Ravens and 9ers both on the schedule, the rest of the games are kinda “must win,” though I think the Steelers and Packers probably cost the Rams that extra week of football.

Well….coming off a bye, a well-rested Ram team, playing maybe the worst team in the NFC, one would expect a solid win.   And they came through.

I echo everyone else in noting how F’ing refreshing it is to see PHYSICAL football from the Rams running game.   Freeman.  K.Williams.   I ‘reallly’ like those two backs.   Did you see how KW finishes his runs?   Good lord.  We havent seen that since prime-Steven-Jackson.   And he’s plenty fast enough.   Not a game-breaker but he can burst for twenty yards a crack and then absolutely blow-up a DB.   I mean he is going to injure some DBs.

And I havent seen enough of Freeman to know exactly what he is, but I’ve seen enough to know he’s good.  Better than an ordinary back-up.   Maybe he’s special, I dunno.

Browns are 7-4, but i see they got smacked by the Broncos.   And someone named

Dorian-Thompson Robinson was their QB.  14 for 29, 134 yards.

Who the hell is Dorian-Thompson Robinson?

i’d like a better backup for williams. doesn’t have to be a high pick. somewhere in the lower rounds. another offensive lineman. and again help in the front seven. and just continuous general improvement from all the younger players.

that was a great win though. hopefully they can just carry this momentum until the end of the season.

Great blow out victory (37-14) and it was really much more lopsided than that.  The Rams missed a FG and XP and that last Cards TD was scored against the reserves.
Kyler Murray got to pad his stats against the scrubs but prior to that he looked absolutely lost.  His completion pct was sub-500 for most of the game.

I’m trying to think of who Kyren Williams reminds me.  Maybe Charles White during his ~1400 yd season?  Short, stocky, not very fast, but shifty…maybe tougher to bring down than White…I dunno…

    .

Yes, shifty. Before the injury Williams was having a great season based on his work inside the ten yard line alone. He just seems to find the smallest of creases to work his way across the goal line.  A huge weapon when the Rams are in scoring position. If the Rams can get him consistently rolling outside of the redzone, things will get exciting.
