I bumped into the author’s work on Jacobin recently, looked him up in Hoopla, and was happy to see it was in e-book form.
Really thorough, heavily-sourced study of Marx, focusing on Capital. But unlike many other studies of Marx, it was also a deep dig into Socialist history, highlighting the thought of Robert Owen, Saint-Simon and Proudhon, especially.
Accessible and well-written. Well worth a read, and can be checked out virtually through your local library.
Will post some key takeaways later.
