I’ve been seeing this question being asked. Especially, going into the playoffs

I assume, he has his hot and cold spells.

One thing I can say, he needs to stop throwing pick 6s. It’s not a good look for us, when he’s giving the other team a defensive TD.

i definitely think he’s a good qb. i think he’s capable of leading a team to the superbowl.

is he capable of leading THIS team to a superbowl. i’m not sure. this team does have talent. but they can’t keep turning the ball over and expect to win in the playoffs.

Who, if anyone, does Matthew Stafford remind you of?

We’ve seen him in 17 regular season games, and 1 home, and 1 away playoff game now.   Plus, I’m sure, some hi/low lites of the Detroit years.

I keep coming back to – Favre.   Only in the sense that both had big-arms,

and both seem like fierce competitors and gunslingers.   I mean Favre won a Ring and got to two super bowls –  but he also tossed what 6 INTs against Aeneas Williams?   I could see Stafford doing all that.  The Ring game, and the Meltdown games.

Just seems to me when he’s pressured he gets ‘angry’ and ‘attacks’

rather than ‘wilting’.    That throw to Kupp was kinda like a F You to Suh

who was about to bury him.

So, do i ‘trust’ him?  Yeah, I trust him to be like Favre.  Not Brady.

And yeah, I’ll take it.   But it aint always gonna be pretty.

To me Stafford is like Elway only in the sense that he’s a gunslinger and has Uber-confidence in his arm and his ability to fit the ball into tight places.  Now he’s way more accurate than Elway ever was but, like Elway, when you have that attitude and the arm to back it up it means that you’re going to make a lot of hi-lite type throws, but you’re also going to throw some picks. We just got to hope that the former continues to occur at a higher frequency than the latter.

Stafford won some huge road games late this season in Minnesota and Baltimore… not many Ram QB’s have done that since 1969, if ever.

Overall, Stafford reminds me of Jim Everett… hopefully with a different result in the NFC Championship vs SF……
