    Coal should to be put to bed-now and forever.

    I went to Congressman Peter Welch’s local town meeting. He talked about visiting a coal mine in WV. The entire operation employed about 12 people. 30 years ago it would have employed 300 people but all those jobs were lost to automation. So the coal industry itself had as big a role to play in the loss of coal jobs as the tree hugging environmental groups and politicians.
