I dunno. I think the offense let some opportunities get by them.
Maybe they will get it together next game.

It’s great to see we can still pull out a win when Hekker has an off day.

September 27, 2018 at 11:58 pm #91561canadaramParticipantWow. Such an amazing performance by the offense. I don’t even know who to talk about. Maybe McVay I guess, but I’m most excited about Goff as far as players go. He’s playing with so much confidence now. 4-0!! Wow. 2011 still seems so fresh to me. So for the Rams to be 4-0 with a long week off is pretty sweet!
September 28, 2018 at 12:27 am #91567JackPMillerParticipantOur Defense needs to get it together. Outside of a couple of situations, Minnesota was basically running up and down the field on us.
Ficken even missed a chip shot field goal that could have came back to haunt us. I was a little nervous as well.
September 28, 2018 at 12:28 am #91568JackPMillerParticipantPizza tonight.
I don’t see Buffalo Chicken Pizza by the way. Where is Buffalo Chicken Pizza?
September 28, 2018 at 12:52 am #91573canadaramParticipantIt’s interesting to see Gurley lined up as a wideout. I’ve noticed it a couple of times this season. Most notably tonight on Woods’ TD in the 3rd. My memory ain’t what it used to be, but I don’t remember it happening last season.
September 28, 2018 at 12:53 am #91574InvaderRamModeratori thought the defense would be the one doing the bulk of the work. i thought goff would regress a bit. i was wrong.

September 28, 2018 at 3:02 am #91578Eternal RamnationParticipantRest of the league was busy shortly after the game changing their shorts . If the Vikes can’t stop you who can? Something about the short week messes with the Defense and the Offense goes nuts . What a fun night ! And the D notched 4 sacks including Donalds first two and JFM with the strip sack to ice the game wow. Goff is playing better than any QB out there right now I watched Mahones and got the feeling this guy has been lucky so far. Goff is a surgeon.

That was the greatest performance by a Rams offense I’ve ever witnessed. I don’t think that even the GSOT ever looked that good – not against a top flight defense anyway.

Maybe the night they killed San Diego or when they scored on every possession against the Colts.

Well, yeah that was a really impressive performance against SD.
But what impressed me about the performance last night is that Minn is purported to have perhaps the best defense in the league, although perhaps it’s not as good as advertised. My memory may be off but I thought San Diego didn’t have a good defense when they faced the GSOT.
September 28, 2018 at 10:10 am #91587snowmanParticipantI’m very proud of the offensive line. Excellent protection for Goff and big running lanes for Gurley.

Its still so early though. Four games. I’m guessing the Ram offense will come back to earth soon.
I get a little annoyed at the GSOT comparisons after only four games. I mean we really dont know that the Vikes D is still good this year. Its too soon to say. They didnt look good against the Bills.
I’m happy though. Four great games.
And btw, i said the same thing in 1999 after four games. I urged caution. And decorum. I warned people not to get too excited, its probly just a mirage, smoke and mirrors.
So, ya know, i have a track record, here.w

vI couldn’t agree more.
Maintaining decorum will be vital.
And seemliness.
Pray that we do not ignore seemliness in our eagerness to maintain decorum.
September 28, 2018 at 12:13 pm #91594Eternal RamnationParticipantGoff was 26 out of 33 for 465 and 5 tds, Warner and Greene were 27 out of 34 for 465 and 5 tds but Kupp taught me a new word comfortability so there is that. I have a track record of zero decorum and I do not know what seemliness is but I did predict the Rams going to the Superbowl in July 99′.

September 28, 2018 at 6:18 pm #91610InvaderRamModeratorfor it to not be totally outrageous to begin to compare this offense to the offense led by warner and faulk…
well it just tickles me to no end.
i’m giggling even as i write this post and for some time after.
it’ll be interesting to track this team’s progress over the next five years.
i’m hoping it’s more fun than the previous fifteen years.

September 28, 2018 at 6:26 pm #91612InvaderRamModeratorbut yeah. it’s premature. gotta wait this season and next before any comparisons can be made. and even then they might come crashing back down to earth and it won’t even matter.
September 28, 2018 at 11:39 pm #91626PA RamParticipantFirst of all–apologies to Jared Goff. I will no longer call him a “game manager” quarterback. He is well past that. Amazing performance.
Has anyone been watching the breakdown of McVay’s plays? His genius? How he moves the chess pieces on the board? If not–you should. Maybe it’s already posted somewhere here. Great stuff.
I will take our three amigo wide receivers over any trio in the league.
The offense? A +++++++++
The defense? C-
They can be better. They will. But I doubt they find the quick edge rusher this year. Franklin-Myers can be effective but he seems more like a power rusher.
What a fun game. I haven’t had this much fun since the GSOT days.
4-0
They are favored to win the rest of their games.
I doubt that will happen but I can dream.

September 29, 2018 at 7:54 am #91648CalParticipantWhat an awesome performance by the offense. They made it look so easy against a d with some really good players. Though Minny missing Griffin is huge because he was one of the best d-linemen in the league last year.
Goff’s incredible performance reminded me of Warner’s perfect game against Miami back in 2001 (I think).
This was the first Rams game I’ve seen this year, and I came away thinking the edge rush will be a problem. Ebukam and Longacre were not impressive.
It looks like the Rams just don’t have enough speed when they rush their 3 big guys–Donald, Suh, and Brockers. I’m still holding hope for Ogbo. I was a huge fan of his leading up to the draft. We’ll see.
Donald has really pissed me off the last 2 years with his hold outs, but I loved the 2nd Donald sack–what an amazing athlete he is!
It looks like he launches himself at Cousins and leaves the ground with both feet. But he’s able to regain his footing when he comes into contact with Cousins and then in one motion flings a 220 pound dude to the ground like an empty box. What an athlete!

You are displaying classic symptoms of dyseemlia…the inability to identify and use the correct derivation of ‘seemly’ in a sentence.
It’s one of our most prevelant tick-borne illnesses, second only to Lyme disease.
