Former @RamsNFL CB Coach Aubrey Pleasant has accepted the job with the @Lions as their secondary coach/passing game coordinator. Huge get for Detroit, tough loss for the Rams

[Pleasant & Barry] were both former coaching collegues of Sean McVay in Washington. In fact Pleasant coached under Raheem Morris, the Washington DB coach at the time, when McVay was on the Washington staff.
There has been an unprecedented exodus of coaching staff. I don’t remember seeing turnover like this ever in my life that did not involve the firing of the HC first.
I cannot resist the suspicion that people don’t love working for Sean McVay.
Have there been any lateral moves or has everyone that left the Rams getting a better job?
Well, the Rams can block lateral moves.
Sure. So everyone that left the Rams got a promotion. It wouldn’t surprise me if McVay is hard to work for, but coaches leaving for a better job isn’t evidence of that.
Okay, but Pleasant was secondary coach, and left for the position of secondary coach/passing game coordinator.
I don’t know what that means, but it kind of looks like a paper promotion.
Nah, Pleasant was only the CB coach with the Rams.
My question is, as highly regarded as he is, why was he only the CB coach? I mean, he’s been talked about as a potential defensive coordinator. Sorta surprised the Rams didn’t make an effort to keep him.
